Ping: Dropkick Murphys Fans

DKM is on Letterman tonigh playing State of Massachusets.

I know we have a few fans around here who may want to tune in.

I agree. Very difficult to understand some drunken Irishmen shouting about Boston.

Over the weekend they had a horrible experience as their tour bus hit and killed someone as they were driving from Austin to Tulsa. The family of the guy that was hit set up a GoFundMe to help pay for the funeral expenses and set up a college fund for his son. The Dropkick Murphys pledged the requested amount.

Family says Texas man fatally struck by Dropkick Murphys tour bus was crossing I-35 in Texas - Metro - The Boston Globe

Very sad, but wow, what an amazing act of compassion by the band. What a great group of people!!

I have followed the band very closely since their inception. They are really a great group of guys who love their fans and despite pretty big success have never let it get to their heads.

Their comments are real and donation genuine, not a publicity stunt. I am certain they feel terrible about the whole thing and want to do all they can.
