Note: The following is as of 11 a.m. PDT...

The board room has been quiet today, as many board members have turned inward to consider how their votes will be made. Many have yet to put to words what they are thinking, so any conclusions drawn at this point are rather fleeting.

But if things were to remain as they stand right now, it seems that EagleFan would be voted off of the board...

RULE NOTE (Clarification)

Although it won't appear so from the outside, as we only have one deadline, there is a "break" between the day and night time actions. This can have some consequences, but the most notable one that is not clear in the rules is that those who are lynched or otherwise die by a day action will have their corporate ownerships resolved BEFORE any night actions are processed.

Second note, which I should have made earlier-- the CEO will also be able to read the role with loyal members. He will only read a conspirator as a conspirator, and only if it is an active conspirator. As noted before, the CEO will read the cunning conspirator as a loyal board member with no role.

So is this the point where everyone tries to avoid being the 2nd vote on someone?

I guess I'll pick one of them and just get it over with.

I don't have anything against Schmidty at all. I threw my vote on him because I remember voting off DV on day one recently, and he's less vocal than EF or Hoops, so it's a harder read for me down the line.

I didn't want to bring a 5th candidate into the voting, and I wanted to encourage some movement even if being the 2nd voter on someone puts a bit more pressure on me as a result if they turn out to be a good guy.

It's covered in The Vote section in Post #3, although the technical answer is, no, you guys don't really know.

I would presume that hoops, schmidty and ef's enemy's all are, or will be on them, so that doesn't help.

Hmm. Interesting thought about this, but don't want to state it now lest I give someone cover undeserving. I am making this post so I can put a time on this idea if I reference it later on.

Been some very slow Day 1's lately. I'm not sure you're going to get a lot more out of people today unless some kind of pressure/reveal emerges.

I'll try to be online a bit between now and deadline, but I am flying solo on kid duty tonight so online time may be a bit limited. Er, I mean I have a series of important business meetings with board members.

I have little time to spare for a collection of leeches upon our corporate profitability. In case it was not clear who are said "leeches", this means everyone reading this post except Chief Rum. But especially those who would pander to Microsoft.

Two hours to deadline. If you have actions to take, be sure to get them to me before then. Also, your corporate distributions as well!

Looks like this one's going to the wire.

I don't get it. I think a 3 way race makes it far too easy to hide on Day 1. Close is good, but with 3 people there seem to be too many variables in play.

As I think about this I can't decide if this statement is more true with 11 players or less true. While I don't think I'd have gone the 3 way race situation, I am going to back off saying I don't get it.

I love DT pushing me into a tie when I've pretty clearly stated that I'm not going to have meaningful time tonight leading up to the deadline.

I'll make sure to extend him the same courtesy for the next couple of days, when he said he will have availability challenges, if given the opportunity.

Theories would be that we have three villagers going up against each other tonight, based on the lack of vote changes so far but it's been so quiet that it's pretty easy for a wolf to hide today.

Basically just let the village do their dirty work today I guess.

Darth said he was gone for the day, so I don't know about Danny,

As we think about the 3 way vote, remember Darth was the one who created it.

I'll switch to him. I have a feeling it's somehow going to bite me in the butt later on, but I do think it's kind of shitty to vote someone out who's at least checked in while there's a non-voter out there.

Is there someone not on schmidty who would switch? I don't know that switching multiple votes away from the leading vote getter makes sense at this time, though my preference would be to punish the no voter.

There is a small penalty for not voting. Tomorrow Danny's vote only counts for 0.75.

I'm pretty comfortable on EagleFan - no idea how he would think we've got three company men in this showdown with how little info we've got.

If anything, I'm suspicious of a "Danny isn't here, lets make him the patsy" play in this spot.
