WW: Quick Thanksgiving Week Game (Game Over!)
I figure there might be some people like me who are around for Thanksgiving and might enjoy a quick game before Purdue's start. So, if there's interest, I'm going to host a quick 6 person game. We'll do 24 hour cycles with 10 PM Eastern Deadlines. The game will start as soon as 6 people sign-up with the idea of having a D1 Deadline today.
Schedule would be (assuming we get 6 today by around 1 Eastern): Day 1: Tuesday 10 PM Day 2: Wednesday 10 PM Day 3: Friday 10 PM Day 4: Sunday 10 PM I find it highly unlikely a game could go beyond Day 4. Typical WW game, EXCEPT all people may PM each other. Roles are: Wolf 1 Wolf 2 Seer Anti-Seer (Wins with wolves, may scan people) Body Guard Duke Player List: 1. Render 2. PurdueBrad 3. path12 4. Alan T 5. Chief Rum 6. claphamsa Last edited by Barkeep49 : 11-20-2007 at 04:03 PM. |

You thought going on a yaht with a few friends from College would be fun. Little did you know that two of the people on the boat aren't really your friends at all. In fact they resent your success since college a whole lot and are willing to extract their revenge through murder. Now you are stuck in the middle of the ocean with some stonecold killers. Can you find them before they find you?
Since we're getting off to a late start, we might not be able to get a lynch in today. If we can't, that's fine and we'll just play on Monday, if needed. Remember you may freely PM any player in the game. I would ask that you include me on the PMs so I can be entertained behind the scenes. |

I'm here, I'm a good guy. Interesting that we can all PM each other. I am not sure exactly what I would say to anyone just yet. But something I will think about.
Since it is a barkeep game and barkeep loves reveals, I'll look down that path a bit more today than most day 1s.. We have 6 players, 3 bad, 3 good. The wolves will be able to coordinate with each other alot better than we can. So for arguement sake, what would happen if we all revealed day 1? I assume the wolves could lie about it, it would be 3 votes for each, the duke would be able to break the tie in the place he thinks best.. But then the wolves that night can kill right back to even it up unless the bodyguard gets lucky, and day 2 I assume we won't have a duke power to help us... So don't think that is the best approach just yet. A second approach to consider.. I as a good guy know I am good. I know of the 5 remaining people out there, that 3 of you are bad. I have a 60% chance of nailing a bad guy today. That has to be about the best possible ever odds for any day of WW of getting a bad guy... The only problem is if you mess up today, and a night kill tonight would mean only 1 good guy left, and virtually no shot to win... So today is a very important vote... I encourage everyone to place votes out early.. if a good guy is going to be lynched, please reveal with enough time for us to change votes or a duke to be able to change the vote as needed... This is probably the most important day 1 vote in WW history on this board |

Dola, as I am out in California this week, I am on Path12 Standard time.. I doubt I will be around at the deadline or possibly even up to the deadline.. so I would like to make my wild guess in the next hour and have time to change it if people give me a reason to.

dola dola,
One nice thing about this game with the ability to PM anyone.. if you are a good guy going down, you don't have to reveal to everyone.. you could reveal via PM to the people who are around and can change their vote.. if they still don't move it, you at least can give us a pointer on who to kill tommorrow (if we still have a shot at least) |

I think that's a risky play, Alan. I think if we go head to head with the wolves, we will lose. I'll admit I haven't played out the scenario yet as you started it, but it doesn't seem to start good and would require us to get lucky at one point or another (with the duke's call, witht he BG protection, etc.).
Otherwise, I agree. I also like the idea of using PMs for reveals.

Hmm, seems kinda risky to throw a vote out there with no reason. Not that Render is any worse a choice than anyone else. Why Render?

Well the only problem I see is: Currently day 1 we are 3-3. Means with partys split it is a tie, with us having the duke on our side. If we duke a wolf, then its 3-2 with no more duke. That night the wolves make a kill and the next day its 2-2 this time without the duke to break the tie for us. So it not only requires us to get lucky with the duke guessing the right person, it also requires the BG to make a good play too. The alternative to that is if we vote wrong today, and lynch a villager its 3-2, then with night kill its 3-1... and if the duke was the one night killed it means game over tommorrow with the vote... So yeah we need to do whatever it takes to win today's vote.. very crucial for us. |

BK, I assume the wolves have to kill all of us to win and not simply get 1-1?

I would think 1:1. The anti-seer counts for the villagers in the count.

Well if that is the case, if we lynch a villager -OR- the anti-seer that leaves it at 3 humans to 2 wolves, and a night kill of anyone (even the anti-seer) brings it to a 2:2 ratio meaning the wolves win in day 1... So that is why I was curious about that and wasn't as sure that was true this game. |

Well, I have about 30 minutes or so before I need to leave.. so want to get my vote out there with a bit of time to move it if given a reason to.
Vote Chief RUm Main reason... he's around right now and if I need to move my vote he can give me a reason to possibly. |

It's 1:1, but the wolves can't win until the conclusion of D2/start of D3.

After a short PM conversation with Chief, I am not convinced enough to move my vote off of him. I get a feel that he is a wolf, and if not I feel that worst case scenerio I won't be losing a role that really bothers me to see gone and won't put us too far behind the 8 ball.
Good luck to all on this vote! |

Please try to remember to CC me on PM conversations. It's a not a huge deal if you don't, but it would provide me with amusement. And just so you know I originally designed this as an 8 person game, but figured 8 would be problematic so I tried adjusting to 6, which might not have been a perfect transition.

I'm also accepting conditional orders based on who gets lynched. If there is a duking or some last minute vote switching the idea is not to rob people of their night action.

I am guessing his response was to Chief Rum who also mentioned in a PM to me that he was the anti-seer ie: my earlier post stating that I don't know if I believe him completely (ie: he could be a wolf saying he is the anti-seer but hoping this would drive people to vote elsewhere) and worst case he is telling the truth, it is not a horrible loss killing the anti-seer. Or he could be drunk. |

I don't see it either. My plan all along is just to win with the wolves. I am hoping they will tell me who they are, so I don't have to scan for them.
