You have the toughest road though, with that final series against Chicago (while the other two play the last place teams). Would make for a great finish for your division though, a nice three way race.

Gwynn and Clark are definitely keys to Chicago's continued run...

Is SP Dickey Kerr in the 12th round the best value pick? I know someone must have better than that but shoot... didn't expect that. And 9th and 10th rounds with CL Duane Ward and 1B Will Clark back to back was huge.

Man, we really shit the bed down the stretch. Relief pitching doomed us all season. Tug McGraw wasn't worth the high pick.

I think the follow up will be similar but without team restrictions (and only 8 total teams to pick from; but will include the reserve players as well to choose from). Still working that out.

Bottom of the 1st

Stamford's top pitcher takes the mound as Lefty Williams gets the call. He is 8-1 but with a 4.54 ERA (he has plenty of run support throughout the season).

Shortstop Tony Fernandez leads off. He hit .255 for the season. 0-1 count on Fernandez, he hits a high hopper to third. Pendleton bare hands it and throws to first and he gets him by half a step for the first out.

Centerfielder Kevin McReynolds is up next. He hit .307 during the season with 5 homeruns. He works a 3-2 count and rips a line drive to left, Cleon Jones comes on and makes the catch for the second out.

Right fielder Hank Aaron steps up with two outs and no one on. He hit .263 during the season with 8 homeruns and 29 RBI's. 1st pitch and Aaron crushes it, deep to left center and no doubt about it, that ball is way out of here, 481 feet. As Aaron crosses the plate he has a few words with Williams as Williams seemed to think Aaron spent a little too much time admiring the shot. Dayton takes a 1-0 lead on the solo homerun.

Third baseman Al Rosen steps up. He is hitting a disappointing .214 for the season. On an 0-1 pitch he hits a high chopper up the middle and into center field for a single.

With Rosen at first and two outs first baseman Jack Clark steps up. He hit .277 during the season with 5 homeruns and 27 RBI's. The 1-1 pitch, he hits a ground ball up the middle. Frank White reaches it and steps on second for the force to end the inning.

One run on two hits with no errors and one man left on base.

Second baseman Frank White is up with two outs and no one on base. HE hit .294 for the season. The 2-1 pitch it lined towards the line in right, Aaron comes over and reaches out to just get the ball for the third out or it would have been into the corner for extra bases.

No runs on one hit with no errors and no men left on base.
