Werewolf XLVI Willy Wonka the game thread!!!! BAD GUYS WIN!!
The day you have been waiting for is here. You have been on pins and needles since you found your golden ticket. You stand outside the giant factory in awe of it's size. Suddenly a door opens and a short man with a cane hobbles out. He clears his throat and speaks loudly and clearly, " Millions, maybe billions of people have wanted this oppritunity and you 15 stand here in front of me. You will spend alot of time in this factory over the next few days and you will see much. There are secrets my main competetor Slugworth would kill for. You have all been sworn to secrecy, however I fear there may be spies among you, maybe even slugworth himself.
There is only one way to find the spies Each day one of you will be voted off by the others, I fear for your safety at night like I said, my competetors would kill for these secrets. If you succeede in removing all the spies from the factory those remaining will win rewards beyond their imaginations. Should you fail the spies will overrun the factory and all my boss has worked for will be lost. Don't look so surprised, you didn't think I was Willy Wonka, did you? Look to aroud. One of you is willy wonka. Now enter the factory. Good Luck. Rules- Each day players vote for one person to be removed from the factory, the player with the most votes is branded a spy and removed from the factory. . Voting deadline is 10:30 PM EST. All night actions are due by 8:00 AM EST. Ties will be detirmined by an unknown method Quoting of PM's is forbidden Roles will be revealed upon players death/ removal from factory. Spies must obtain a 1:1 ratio for victory rules are subject to change in case I overlooked something. Roles: Willy Wonka/ Seer- once per night he scans a player to see if they are a spy oompa loompa lord/ bodyguard- once per night they can guard another player, they can't guard the same player 2 nights in a row. Slugworth/ Brutal wolf- if lynched can take another player with him slugworth sympathizer- if attacked at night converted Fast talker/ duke- can change the outcome of a lynch vote to their choice Golden Ticket Winner/ villager Last edited by Lathum : 06-22-2007 at 10:40 PM. |

Not sure how I won a ticket. I can't remember the last time I had a chocolate bar.

I'm working all day today as usual, so this is a pop in, pop out vote.
I am a common villager. VOTE LONESTARGIRL No reason at all. She's almost certainly good, so anyone trying to bandwagon on top of my vote without good reason should be viewed suspiciously. See you all tonight. |

I have framed my golden ticket. It will look very cool next to the tv. That way I can see both at the same time. To bad the ticket can't be IN the tv. Television rules!

So are these references to characters from the movie reveals, or just color?

I believe it has been 25 years since I read this book - haven't seen a movie. So while I vaguely recognize some of these references I'm going to probably need some help if people are being subtle with reveals here as Passacaglia suggested.
I'm hoping that this is just people providing some flavor to their gaming, rather than giving away potentially meaningful info at this point. It hasn't been that long since the last game, right? right? |

Except for the charectures listed in the rules/ roles anything is extra flavor, so for example there is no Mike TV, etc... |

I am excited about playing in a werewolf game again! Disappointed I am the first person to get a vote though, but I won't seek revenge on Chief just yet

Weird, I didn't know Veruca Salt was Chicago-based. But I guess I was living in Michigan when I first heard of them.

Lathum, have a couple of rules questions:
1. Does a sympathizer know that they are a sympathizer? 2. Is there only the one wolf to start the game, or is there a generic wolf role that is not listed in Post #1? Just trying to figure out the ratio for this game - if there is a single wolf then we could potentially end it on Day 1. If not, then I'm guessing there are a larger number of sympathizers out there. |

OK, since there is more than one starting wolf then I'm guessing there is a small (likely 1) group of sympathizers who don't know they are sympathetic. No in-game reasons for having that belief, just playing off of what I consider to be the most likely ruleset. And, given the moderator is not Cronin, I think there is a reasonable chance that I'm right If the sympathizers knew they were sympathetic then I would start putting some energy into finding people who are subtly suggesting "night kill me!!!" in their posts. But that feels like wasted effort. So back to figuring out where my near-random Day 1 vote goes. |

oooh. multiple people in the thread alert!!
sorry i've been quieter than normal all day. had a lot on my plate here @ the office. And FYI...I likely won't be online until ~7-something PM EST because apparently it's been decided that i'm fat and so i have to walk home from the train, thus doubling the time my commute takes at night (GRRRR). |
