I'm surprised at the numbers in Pennsylvania.

Casey looks like he is leading 60-40 w/ 80% in. That is a pretty huge margin.

Looking at the Tennessee race, there are basically two major counties left, Davidson and Shelby. Ford is doing terrific in those places. He should be able to squeeze out another 40,000 vote margin out of Davidson. The question is how much is left in Shelby.

Normally I wouldn't care QUITE as much, but the fact that she messed with my dad (the sweetest, most awesome person I know) and the rest of the state workers, basically pushed me over the edge.

I despise Republicans and Democrats, but the fact that the idiots of SE MI can't get the fact that their Governess is a terrible failure, throws me into a huge frenzy. My wife just left the room laughing and saying that I'm "raving again". Oh the fuck Well.

Yeah, Montgomery Co. just dumped a huge number of votes, and there are chunks from PG and Baltimore City still left - this isn't even going to be that close.

Yep, I was so used to seeing Allen in the lead, I thought that the lead had shrunk, not swapped places.

Dems need 3, the Repubs need 2 of 4. Don't think Cheney will do a lot of hunting this year, withall the ties that would happen if it goes 50-50!

Tuesday's LA Times mentioned that the entire population - or perhaps I misread and it's the voter-eligible population - of Montana is something like a million folks (they reported that 300,000 people had been called by both parties to get out and vote, and that that number represents 1/3 of the state's population).

85k votes cast already, you gotta wonder how surmountable Tester's 14k vote lead is.

A split with 48 Dems + 2 Indies AND 50 Repubs is possible.

This particular one may be, because it'll reign in Bush, who is, frankly, hated by every other country.

No, but a split of 50 each if very plausible. The GOP needs to win 2 out of Tenn, VA, MO, and MT for that to happen. I would call that the most plausible scenario.

PA-8 will come down to the wire: 113,672 to 112,260 89% with the Dem challenger in the lead. This was the suburban Philly race that was considered the best shot for the GOP to hold onto.

Lots of Americans hated Clinton. Doesn't mean they hated their country.

By the same token, folks can want to come here to make a better life for them and their families and still hate the man in the White House. Far as I know, nothing in immigration law says you have to love "Our Leader" to become a citizen.

Yay, Doyle got re-elected!

I'm ticked that the marriage amendment passed, though. I'm just glad the death penalty was advisory only in referendum and that there's no way in hell Doyle's going to let it get back in while he's in office.

I know that, but according to international polls (at least the one I recall from a couple years ago), US being the sole superpower plays into it.

Why? They know the current President can't serve beyond Jan 2009. They realize that Clinton used to be President of the US. They know someone else will be the Prez in a few years.

By the way, weren't all the Republicans celebrating when Howard Dean was named DNC chair, as if this would become some kind of disaster for the Dems? What happened?
