Strange year for us. My wife and I decided to ask for a gym membership plus a few months dues from my parents so we got that. Better than more clothes. In addition I got a Trump dress shirt and a polo fleece. My niece framed and gave me a picture she painted and my nephews gave me a few ornaments.

Still to go to my in laws but their gift to us starts on Monday when we go to Whistler to go skiing. They rented a house for my wife and I, her sister and sisters BF. They are going to watch our son while we ski so that is awesome.

And the best gift of all, my first Christmas with my son.

Tons of fun watching my kids open...They were really into it this year.

Favorite gift I gave--
My younger sister helps us a shitload with our kids. So she's getting the other two tickets to the winter classic.

I gave her and her boyfriend a paper that says IOU, then has that scratched out and replaced with IOY...I owe yinz

And a picture of the WC logo.

This is the first year ever my family actually listened to me when i said "I don't need anything, I don't like owning a ton of stuff, please don't try to find cute things that I'm going to have to find a place for, you've already gotten me all I wanted!"

I'm so happy, no sarcasm.

Parents paid for Sunday Ticket this year awhile back and said that was christmas, that was *perfect*

I got entirely too spoiled by my family. Good thing, though, is a lot of it this year is either food (Penzey's spices, sauces, etc) or food-related (hand immersion blender, cookbooks, kitchen tools, etc), so they'll go to good use.

Also, after I fell in my shower (a month or so ago), I'd mentioned to my sister that my first thoughts were: 1) it was like in Big Bang Theory when Penny fell in her shower and Sheldon said that the reason she'd fallen was because she didn't have any whimsical rubber ducks on her shower floor and 2) thank goodness I can get up on my own. My sister took it upon herself to find me some whimsical rubber duck stickers for my shower floor.

We had a limit to focus on the kids, so I got:

Top Gear t-shirt
Some video games (Fallout New Vegas, Forza 3 Ultimate, Tiger Woods)

and then the Mrs. was surprised, and a little mad, that I spent 3 times the limit on her.

I also get spoiled to high heaven.

Buster Posey World Series jersey.
Will Clark 1989 World Series jersey.
Tim Lincecum autographed 2009 All-Star Game Ball.
13 piece Henkel Knife set with Wood Block.
Star Wars Yoda Force FX Collectible Replica Lightsaber - the thing lights up and makes sound effects, is life size and completely and totally awesome.

The best, however, was obviously spending time with my family.

Tomorrow the wife and I are going to go shopping (we're in Korea and it's a Monday, so no problem shopping that day). She wants to buy some clothes and I want a video game or two. I'll probably grab FO:New Vegas.

My girlfriend got me a left-handed guitar, thinking I didn't have one (I do). Her parents got me an iHome clock radio, which is something I need.

I also got this damn snowstorm, which will prevent me from seeing my family for the holidays (as they're going to Florida next week). Huzzah.

I did have a good time with her family...so it wasn't a bad Christmas. It just sucks that I won't be going to PA.

-Various books
-Heavy Rain and Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3
-Fraternity clothing
-Gift cards
-Hey Reb stuffed animal (which is impossible to find anymore)
-Some DVDs, the best of which was two raw footage of combat from my grandfather's division in the European Theater during WW2. I haven't had a chance to watch it, but I'm really looking forward to it.
-Sodastream machine and flavors. I tried it this morning, but I couldn't get it to carbonate correctly, so it came out flat. Once I get it working though, it'll be awesome.

We changed our TV and living room furnitures this Fall so my wife and I had agreed on a "no gift" rule which we pretty much did.

Got $100 from my parents with which I'll pay my Steam expenses (so far it's Overlord II, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Bully and Arkham Asylum for a total of $15) and first season of The League
a couple sweaters
some giftcards (1 clothes store, 2 restaurants which my wife and I will use to get away from regular life)

and like many others, the joy of seeing my sons unwrap their gifts.

A GoPro HD Hero with various attachments. Wasn't expecting it at all. I mentioned this a long time ago at dinner with my parents. I'm an avid motorcyclist, snowboarder, skydiver and adventure/endurance racer. I've wanted some sort of first person POV camera for a while but could never bring myself to buy one, so I'm pretty psyched about this.

What I'm truly grateful about is that my brother, his wife and myself were finally able to send my parents on a European vacation they have wanted to go on for years. Probably sounds cliche but my parents truly are my heroes for what they have sacrificed for my brother and I over the years. I've finally reached that age where providing for others is an exponentially grater feeling than what was given to me.

For the record... I'm a bit tipsy, so please forgive any improper grammar and such, including my "for the record". Happy holidays everyone.

Blessed in more ways than I know.

A great phone conversation with my dad.
Applebee's gift card from dad (received last week).
Starship Troopers game from Mustang!
Tennessee "skin it" cover for my iphone.
Tennessee poms (since I was disappointed I didn't have any for this year's Sweet 16 or Elite 8 games)
Candy. (Omm nom nom)
Cookie Monster book (gag gift since I like the CM)
LEGOs. Liked that. Never had LEGOs as a kid. My future wife bought them for me as another gag gift. I liked it more for the fact that she remembered me telling her that I never had them before.
Tennessee shorts, pants, socks, and shoes.
"Lost" seasons 5 and 6.
Lots of home stuff for the fiance and me. Dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, cookware, knives, spice rack. Lots of goodies.
XBOX 360 and Kinect.

Crazy as it sounds, I still haven't opened the XBOX. Maybe later.

For the record, I'm living the dream.

We ended the great day with the first snow fall on Christmas in 57 year!
It's kinda cool to be sitting with the family and my 10yo son tells my 7yo daughter, this is neat it is the first time I've seen snow on Christmas...then to learn its the first mommy and dad have seen it either was a real "neat" moment for my kids.

Probably corny...but it was a cool moment I wanted to share.
