Memphis brought in CJ Watson and 5th overall selection Derrick Williams our of Arizona during the offseason

Poor Defense + Poor shooting

The results are 39 points and 11 rebounds for OJ Mayo in a blowout win for Memphis

Baron Davis hurt his back during the 4th quarter. Probably should have had him on the bench. He'll miss 2 weeks.

Nov 10- The Charlotte Bobcats have fired legendary head coach Larry Brown.

Brown had entered his 4th year with the Bobcats, but started the year 0-8. The Toronto Raptors, the only other winless team in the NBA, are reportedly interested in the 71 year old.

Bryan Osborne who worked in the Bobcats front office takes over the team on a interm basis.

Oct 27...106-90 Thunder win in OKC

The Thunder come into town on a 2 game losing streak, after starting the season with 6 straight wins. Kevin Durant was again averaging 31 ppg. Eric Bledsoe starts for the injured Baron Davis

The 1st half goes as expected. The Thunder didn't have too much trouble scoring. We were able to keep pace thanks to Chris Kaman who had 8 first quarter points. He's been quiet so far, but he's a legitimate center, who gets lost in our offense.

The 3rd quarter maybe my best quarter ever. We shoot 78% from the field, while holding the Thunder to just 25%. We make 7 of 9 free throws, while the Thunder don't take a shot. We outscored them 31-10. That's that. Not even Oklahoma can come back now.

We hold Kevin Durant to just 12 points. Nice to see some Clippers defense.

Josh Howard converts a reverse layup. Cole Aldrich, on the ground, has called for a blocking foul.

We lost 4 times to the Suns last year. I couldn't stop Steve Nash and the high powered offense. This season, will be tougher. Carmelo Anthony signed with Phoenix in the offseason, and is scoring 26ppg so far. Anthony is playing the power forward spot in the Suns lineup.

Blake Griffin got off to a good start. Carmelo Anthony can't guard him. He's to strong. Unfortunately, Blake fell funny after converting a tough basket. He hurt his achilles tendon. Our trainer says he's out for 2-4 weeks. Channing Frye replaced Griffin and got abused. He's not close to fast enough to guard Carmelo. Before I realized this, it was too late.

The Suns got anything they wanted to on offense. They limited us when they needed to on defense. Carmelo Anthony scored a season high 46 points. What else could go wrong?

Eric Gordon could get hurt, that's what else could go wrong. Early in the 4th, Gordon strained his back. 2-4 weeks.

Gordon and Griffin combined to averaged 40ppg, 14rpg, 6apg in the early going. That's quite alot to have to replace the next month. Things are not looking good.

Carmelo Anthony scores 2 of his season high 46

Game 9

(5-4)vs(3-5)

The Pistons added the #3 overall choice in the NBA draft. Ohio State's Jared Sullinger. He's grabbing 9 boards per game, but struggling putting the ball in the whole. He's shooting just 28%, and scoring 3ppg. There's obviously something wrong there. The Pistons only other addition during the offseason was Josh Childress we signed as a free agent after finishing 10-11 with the Cavs.

We are starting Raja Bell and Channing Frye to replace our injured stars.

The guys really stepped up in the early going. Chris Kaman looked to be an all-star again with 11 first quarter points. Josh Howard also found his old form scoring 9 early on. We had no problems scoring for most of the 1st three quarters.

Entering the fourth, we started missing our stars. The Pistons, who we couldn't slow down all game clamped down on us, and we went on a 5 minute scoreless drought. Rodney Stuckey was a force all night long. He forced turnover's via our young pg's, and cause all sorts of problems the whole game long. Stuckey finished with 33 points and 8 assists.

A promising start was not enough. With 3 of our 5 starters out with injury, we just couldn't keep up with the Pistons for a whole game.

The NY Knicks signed Kendrick Perkins in the offseason, and also draft guard Alec Burks 8th overall. They traded Toney Douglas to the Raptors for Ed Davis
Al Aminu starts at SG today, as Eric Gordon misses his 2nd game. Raja Bell who started last game will come off the bench.

That plan didn't last long though. Al Aminu hurt his wrist early on. It wasn't serious, and Aminu returned to try it out, but his shot was off and I decided he will take the rest of the game off. This means 23 year old Jake Robinson who has supposed to go to the D-league yesterday, will be seeing some action backing up Raja Bell

New York started fast and furious. They shot 52% in the 1st half, scoring 57, and leading 18. Nothing we did worked, on either end of the floor. We were shooting 37%.

The 2nd half was the complete opposite. All of a sudden, we were playing defense. The Knicks went on a long 6 minute drought, which we outscored them 13-0. Just like that, we were back in the game.

Josh Howard became the goto guy. He was too fast to guard, and got the the net whenever he wanted. Jimmer Fredette had a breakout game scoring 20 points. The game went to overtime, where Channing Frye scored 6 of his 12 points. The Knicks made a last minute run, but were unable to avoid the disastrous collapse

In the 2nd half, the Knicks shot just 33%. Galinari had 27, but just 7 after the 1st.

It's our 4th win of the season, 3rd in overtime.

Oct 29...116-106 Clippers win in New Jersey

Al Aminu is healthy and able to start today. The first half is a defensive struggle.

Despite being unable to score, i was very happy with the effort. It's been a struggle all season. The last 4 quarters have been a good sign.

The Nets finally broke through in the 2nd half. Devin Harris decided he wanted to win this game. Jimmer Fredette and Eric Bledsoe are not good defenders yet. Harris was able to do whatever he wanted. He drove, he shot, he got to the line, all to the tune of 30 points.

We are outscored 52-34 in the 2nd and lose big to NJ.

One positive from a bad loss was Jimmer Fredette. He's emerging as a reliable scorer. From the top of the key, he's money. My confidence in Eric Bledsoe shooting is at an all-time low.

The Clippers didn't have enough men to guard Devin Harris tonight

Baron Davis returns to the lineup to take on the best team in the NBA. The Spurs are off to one hell of a start at 10-1. They only made 1 significant move in the offseason, adding center Spencer Hawes, who will start today.

Davis was a spark early, leading us to s 11-2 lead. I was happy, but not confident with that start. The Spurs did the expected, and came back to trail by just 4 after 1.

Baron got into foul trouble, which meant Jimmer Fredette or Eric Bledsoe would have to guard Tony Parker. Either way, it was not a good matchup.

We played the Spurs well. Back and forth for most of the game. Infact, with only 1:50 remaining, we led 81-80. The Spurs then showed us how to be a winner, rolling off 8 straight points for the win.

Tony Parker finished with 22 points, 10 assists and 5 steals.

Nov 22- The LA Lakers and New Jersey Nets have agreed on a blockbuster trade.

--
Lamar Odom Steve Blake
2012 Lakers 1st round pick

Devin Harris

The Lakers, off to a 5-9 start, had some chemistry issues. Andrew Bynum was unhappy, he wanted to start. They make room by letting Lamar Odom go to the Nets, and upgrade their point guard spot. The Nets, also stuggling at 5-8, get a forward they don't need, but could be a nice trade chip.

The T-Wolves did very little during the offseason. They added two 1st round picks to their lineup though, in Jan Vesely and Jeremy Tyler. Ricky Rubio is an early candidate for 6th man of the year, averaging 14ppg off the bench.

Johnny Flynn got off to a fast start, dishing out assists on 4 of the first 5 T-Wolves possessions. Baron Davis was the reason we stayed in the game early. His shot was on. 8 points and 5 assists were enough to keep us in striking distance.

Strike we did. We held the T-Wolves to 55 points the remainder of the game. That's great. Our defense held them to just two double digit scorers. Kaman scored 18, while Davis had 17 and 12 assists. Our 2 former all-stars stepped up to replace our 2 future all-stars today. A very complete, non-overtime win today

The Kings added Luis Scola from Toronto, and drafted Brandon Knight, the new starting point guard, 4th overall. They also signed long-time Jazz coach Jerry Sloan to run the team.

I forgot to update this one after I played it, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. What I recall is we were outplayed from start to finish. Baron Davis was going great. 29 points and 11 assists, but no one else stepped up on either end of the floor. Our defense was swiss cheese. Against Minny, only 2 players scored in double digits. Today, 6 Kings accomplished the feat.

Rookie Brandon Knight had 15 points and 11 assists.

The Bulls added Sam Young and Jarred Jefferies this offseason. They are off to a rough start, after a season where they finished 1st in the east.

Another horrible start, and it's become an issue. We need to start games much better. The season is getting away from us. We can't afford to be down by 10 after early on any more. 27-16 after 1.

Early in the 2nd, Derrick Rose was knocked down hard by Chris Kaman. He left the game and was diaganosed with a shoulder injury. Out 2-4 weeks. Sam Young started running the point which made our comeback. Rose was dominating. Young was unable to get anything going, and couldn't stop Baron Davis. We scored 33 in the 2nd quarter and trailed by 1 at the half.

The 2nd half belonged to Chicago. We really struggled to score consistently. The Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin injuries have caught up with us. We are really missing them right now. We win this game with those 2 in the lineups. Instead, Carlos Boozer scored 18 2nd half points, and we shoot 32%. Raja Bell made 4 three pointers late, and scored 14 points in the quarter to make it close, but it really wasn't.

The Cavaliers have added Glen Davis, Wilson Chandler and Greg Monroe. In my opinion, a great offseason. They really improved the talent level.

We beat the Cavs 99-80, in a very well played game by the Clippers. Eric Gordon was back and scored 19. It was a all-around dominating effort. When i went to upload the pictures, the game froze. So it's gone. Here is the resim box score.
