Heh, Travis, it was a good decision for Jace Hunter to transfer. I looked at the roster for KU and they were stacked about 4 deep with PF's that all had a higher rating than Jace. I'm honestly not quite sure why he decided to go there anyways. I think you'll have better success at Auburn.

I don't believe I'll have any new updates today, as I'm not at home and will be going out of town for work in a couple hours. I won't be back until late tonight. But I will definitely have a few posts this weekend.

PF Zindo Hirdt -- Zindo's top 5 has changed, a lot. Wisconsin is still the top choice, but now Kentucky, Indiana, Vanderbilt, and Purdue have entered the mix. Vandy has already offered.

SF Larry McGillicuddy -- UCLA has offered, and is the top choice. However, UNLV, Utah St., USC, and Stanford are all now in the top 5.

PF Al Mighty -- Oklahoma St., Oklahoma, and Texas have offered Al, and Baylor and Houston are in the mix as well.

SG Larry Tassin -- Oklahoma St. has offered Larry, and LSU, Houston, Texas, and Oklahoma are also in the mix.

PF Zindo Hirdt -- The top 5 remains the same, except Michigan St. has taken Purdue's place. All have offered but Michigan St.

SF Larry Mcgillicuddy -- Stanford has left the mix, and Auburn has joined it. UCLA is the only school to offer so far.

PF Al Mighty -- Things have changed for Al. It appears he has his mind set on Oklahoma St. and they have offered. The only other school now in the mix is UTEP.

SG Larry Tassin -- Oklahoma St. and LSU have offered. Texas and Illinois still have a shot at Larry.

October 2011

PF Zindo Hirdt -- Zindo seems to have narrowed it down to Wisconsin and Michigan St., as he wants to stay in the Big Ten it appears. Wisconsin has offered, Michigan St. still hasn't.

SF Larry McGillicuddy -- No changes in Larry's top 5, but UCLA is still the only offer.

PF Al Mighty -- It's still between Oklahoma St. and UTEP, and both have now offered.

SG Larry Tassin -- LSU, Oklahoma St., and Illinois are in the mix. LSU and Oklahoma St. have offered.

2011-2012 Depth Charts

Jace Hunter (Auburn)- Jace will be redshirting this season after transferring from Kansas.

Deacon Palmer (LSU)- Deacon is 10th on the depth chart, but should see quite a bit of action because he is the 4th big man on the chart.

Eric Anderson (Tennessee)- Bad news for Eric, as apparently he's decided that since he has a free ride, that means he can slack off on his studies. He's academically suspended until January 1st.

Dave O'Shea (Temple)- We should see lots of O'Shea sightings this year. He's listed eighth on the depth chart. There is another PG ahead of him though, so his minutes may be limited to 10 or 15 a game.

Kuji Chagulia (Clemson)- Kuji is projected as the starting SG, and I don't see that changing throughout the season.

Mike Schaplowsky (Illinois)- After winning Big Ten freshman of the year last year, Mike will keep his starting PG role, but has 2 very good PGs right behind him if he slips up.

Will Brown (Michigan St.)- Will is gonna be the starting SF this year, and he's looking to pick up where he left off last season.

Dean Hoo (Hofstra)- Dean probably would have been better suited to redshirt, as he is 9th on the depth chart, but there are a lot of guards ahead of him. He may play the Dave O'Shea role this year and see action in 10 games or less.

Tom Steele (UTEP)- Tom is redshirting this season after coming over from San Diego St.

Jaquaan Ruin (Colorado St.)- Jaquaan will try to help the Rams recover from a dismal season as he'll be 7th on the depth chart and should see plenty of action.

Jason McDowell (Washington)- Jason will start the season as the starting PG, but he is raw, and there are 2 PG's with more experience that'll probably see just as much PT.

Eric has to buckle down a bit and get those grades up. It's clear to me his 3.0 in high school may not have come as honestly as one would expect. Definitely may have had a paper or two written for him. Good to see Tennessee in the top 25.

Nov. 6-13, 2011

All but one of the games this week was a tournament game. We'll start with the non-tournament game first.

Nov. 13 -- #9 Washington @ Bethune-Cookman -- The Huskies rolled to an 86-66 victory, and in his debut, Jason McDowell scored 9 points on a perfect shooting night: 2-2 from the field including 1-1 from three point land, and 4-4 from the line.

Now we've got some tournaments to cover this week. We'll start with the Coaches Invitational, where Michigan St. and Auburn were playing.

Nov. 7 -- (16) Southeast Missouri St. vs. (1) #11 Michigan St. -- The Spartans easily advanced to the quarterfinals with an 84-44 victory. Will Brown had a 12 point, 7 rebound effort.

Nov. 7 -- (11) Green Bay vs. (6) Auburn -- Auburn advanced to the quarterfinals with a 65-55 victory.

Nov. 8 -- (8) Southern Illinois vs. (1) #11 Michigan St. -- The Spartans held the Salukis to just 27.1% shooting in the 63-44 victory, as Will Brown scored 14 points on 7-10 shooting.

Nov. 8 -- (6) Auburn vs. (3) UCLA -- It was a hard fought game, but Auburn survived 57-52.

Nov. 13 -- (4) #20 Maryland vs. (1) #11 Michigan St. -- Will Brown scored a career high 22 points and added 6 rebounds as the Spartans rolled to the championship with an 89-58 victory.

Nov. 13 -- (7) Kent St. vs. (6) Auburn -- Auburn advanced to the championship game with a 65-57 victory.

Now lets track the Preseason NIT, where Temple and Hofstra tipped off their seasons.

Nov. 10 -- (13) Hofstra vs. (4) Creighton -- The Pride had no pride tonight, as they were hammered 72-38. No action tonight for Dean Hoo.

Nov. 10 -- (12) Milwaukee vs. (5) Temple -- It was a bad start for the Owls, who were hammered 62-41, eliminating them from the tournament. Dave O'Shea played 11 minutes and scored 5 points, but was just 1-5 from the field.

Next we'll go to the Travelers Inviational, where Illinois had 2 games.

Nov. 7 -- (4) North Dakota St. vs. (1) #24 Illinois -- The Illini struggled in this game, barely pulling out an 81-75 victory. Nick Wadden had an awful debut, as he was in foul trouble all game and only played 15 minutes. Missed both his shots and had 1 assist. Mike Schaplowsky scored 10 points, and also had 5 boards and 3 assists.

Nov. 9 -- (3) Miami-Ohio vs. (1) #24 Illinois -- The Illini fell behind early and lost the championship game 75-62. Nick Wadden was again in foul trouble, as he only played 14 minutes, but did score 2 points and have a rebound. Mike Schaplowsky scored 9 points on 4-7 shooting, and had 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

We finish at the Legends Invitational where Tennessee had 2 games.

Nov. 12 -- (4) Iona vs. (1) #17 Tennessee -- The Vols advanced to the championship with a tough 74-59 win. Just as a reminder, Eric Anderson will not be with the team until at least Jan. 1st, so his name won't come up until he is back with the team.

Nov. 13 -- (3) Florida St. vs. (1) #17 Tennessee -- The Vols fell short in the championship tonight, losing 77-70 after the game was tied at halftime.

Nov. 14-20, 2011 Preseason Tournaments

Let's start with the championship of the Coaches Invitational.

Nov. 14 -- (6) Auburn vs. (1) #4 Michigan St. -- The Spartans were in control tonight, winning the Coaches Invitational by a score of 83-63. Will Brown had 12 points on 4-9 from the field, but just 4-8 from the line.

Next we go to the Maui Invitational, where UTEP and Clemson were playing.

Nov. 17 -- (7) UTEP vs. (2) #20 Arizona -- UTEP shocked Arizona tonight by a score of 63-60 to advance to the winners bracket semifinals.

Nov. 17 -- (5) Georgia vs. (4) #25 Clemson -- Also advancing was Clemson, who won a hard fought game, 69-64. Kuji Chagulia scored 9 points on just 2-8 shooting, but 4-5 from the line.

Nov. 18 -- (4) #25 Clemson vs. (1) Kansas -- It took OT to get it done, but Clemson advanced to the championship game 77-69, thanks to 15 points from Kuji Chagulia. He was only 3-11 from the field, but was 8-10 from the line and also had 4 assists.

Nov. 18 -- (7) UTEP vs. (3) #23 Louisville -- It was tied at halftime, but UTEP couldn't hang on, as they fell to the third place game, losing 92-82.

Nov. 19 -- (7) UTEP vs. (1) Kansas -- UTEP pulled another shocker, winning the third place game, 70-69.

Nov. 19 -- (4) #25 Clemson vs. (3) #23 Louisville -- It was a great championship, but in the end the Tigers were too strong, winning the Maui Invitational 79-71! Kuji Chagulia scored 10 points, and was 5-5 from the line.

Now we'll go to the Orlando Classic, where LSU and Colorado St. had their first round games.

Nov. 20 -- (8) Northern Illinois vs. (1) LSU -- LSU had no trouble in this one, winning 85-48. Deacon Palmer only played 6 minutes in his debut, missing his only shot but grabbing 2 boards.

Nov. 20 -- (6) Colorado St. vs. (3) DePaul -- What a debut for Juquaan Ruin, who scored 18 points on 7-11 shooting and 2-3 from the line. He nailed both his treys, and it helped lead the Rams to a 69-59 win.

Nov. 14-20, 2011 Non-Tournament Games

Nov. 14 -- LSU @ Alcorn St. -- Before their tournament in Orlando, the Tigers had to get by Alcorn on the road, and barely did so, winning 70-62. Deacon Palmer had 4 fouls in 6 minutes, and scored 2 points with 2 boards.

Nov. 15 -- Alabama A&M @ Illinois -- The Illini continued to struggle, having to rally from 5 down at halftime to win 78-70. A better game for Nick Wadden who scored 8 points on 4-8 shooting and also pulled down 7 boards. Mike Schaplowsky led the Illini tonight with 15 points and 4 assists.

Nov. 15 -- #8 Washington @ Florida A&M -- The Huskies won easily tonight, 82-47. Jason McDowell hit both of his shots, both treys, for 6 points, and also had 3 boards and 3 assists.

Nov. 16 -- Eastern Washington @ LSU -- It was an easy one for LSU tonight, as they rolled 99-58. Deacon Palmer had 2 rebounds in 9 minutes of action.

Nov. 20 -- #5 Florida @ #8 Washington -- The Huskies won an important early season top 10 game, rolling to a 19 point halftime lead and winning 90-80. Jason McDowell scored 5 points and had 5 assists, with no turnovers.

How is everybody enjoying this dynasty so far? I'm having a blast with it personally. Is there anything some of you would like to see added? Can I do something different to make it better? Let me know, thanks.

2 weeks ago we had 5 top 25 teams and 1 team receiving votes. After this last week we have 2 ranked team and that's it. Come on vex, get Will Brown going and get the Spartans back in it. Me and Nick need to get Illinois back in the rankings, and Deacon needs to get LSU back in. Hopefully Tennessee will bounce back as well.

Wow, Clemson just fell out of the Top 25 in a hurry. C'mon! South Alabama beat LSU; they can't be that bad.

Dec. 28 -- Hofstra @ UNC Wilmington -- The Pride almost stole their CAA opener tonight, forcing overtime but falling just short, 85-84. They seem to be starting to turn a corner however. And there was a Dean Hoo sighting tonight, as he played a single minute late in the game.

Dec. 28 -- Auburn @ North Carolina -- I think Travis jinxed his team, as they have now lost 4 straight after the 78-75 loss to UNC.

Jan. 1 -- South Carolina @ Clemson -- The Tigers won the battle with their in-state rivals, 80-72. Kuji Chagulia scored 12 points on 4-12 shooting and 4-4 from the line.
