British Promotion/Relegation OOTP league set to open

The British Baseball Society, a tiered baseball universe set in the United Kingdom is set to accept owner applications.

FEATURES:
1-10 scale
No Rule V
Tiered financials
Point system used instead of wins determining promoted/relegated clubs
Two league cups played during the season (much like the FA cup in football)
Loans/Transfers

The Society features three different tiers of 8 teams each. Promotion/Relegation is a part of our world and we use a 'soccer style' point system to determine our standings. These ideas came from a conversation between myself and John Comey, the commissioner of Baseball Association which is similar and set in the US.

We plan to open with 24 teams in 3 different tiers, but if demand is there, we arent against opening a 4th tier (I have enough clubs created already).

I will be aided in this venture by Shoeless Joe, a staple on the OOTP forums. Jarrod is a stand up guy and is very excited about getting British baseball with European soccer rules up and going.

Finances are 'tiered' and we will have transfers/loans as well. The Society features a league wide 'Busby Cup' and each tier has its own Tier Cup that are played during the season in off weeks. We will begin with an initial draft and use the 1-10 ratings scale. No draft pick compensation or Rule V will be included. Obviously, free agency will be a part of the Society.


The league will play an 84 game league schedule (you'll play each of your 7 tier teams in 4 series of 3 games each) from April to September. You earn points for winning each series and a couple other things (covered in rules).


I am presently working on the league file, so there are no reports up yet, but that will come very soon. Finances are being worked on as well. We'd like to get filled up and talking about certain things, so if you have interest please fill out the app on the home page and linked below.
