You Can't Beat Mother Nature
I was in NE South Dakota a couple weeks ago. I noticed a lot of roads were submerged under lakes. This is an area where the age ice reached before pulling back. It is a region full of basin lakes. They have no inlet or outlet.
Couldn't figure out why there are submerged roads. So I googled and found out that there are several states that have these basin lakes and are going through a wet period. So these lakes are rising. And have no outlet. Towns are in jeopardy. Farmland is under water. It was real interesting to see. Here is an article on Mother Nature winning again. https://www.minneapolisfed.org/publi...device=Default

Not a surprise for this to be happening in a time of general climate upheaval. More odd stuff like this is going to be happening... it's like those once-in-a-hundred-years floods are almost yearly in some area or another now.
