As soon as Martial law is removed from Zhitomir you shall reign as Governor. congratulations. Im sure there are others who will help. As far as higher offices go, a recall would have to be called for on someone and as long as we're winning the war, Gi & ntndeacon seem to be doing fairly well, it may be awhile before one of those positions gets recalled via vote.

I'm contemplating imposing a term limit on my position, truth be told. Seems like the Ministry of Defense is the most active position, so I think it might be fair to step down and let someone else have the busy job after we're done crushing the Ukraine.

Our success dictates that this game will probably last a little while. Term limits sound fair. Maybe have elections or a rotation for filling the seats?

Nah, no pressure. It just seems like I've had the busiest job and should let someone else have a shot at the 'hot seat' once I'm finished with the Ukraine. Merely a means to get more people more involved.

Okay. While we heal up. Please send the fully healed Hyp from Tartan and the battering ram southward to Odessa. Please send them between the two mountain ranges, to minimize chances of being attacked. Station NW of Odessa, and commence bombardment.

Please take a healthy unit from Haggis and the two rams, and do the same. We shall bombard while we heal up/reform.

And last, please send the last highlander I built from Glasgow to the front. Meet up with the crew in Odessa.

BTW, you do have a Chariot based in Edinburgh that you had mentioned you were delaying deployment on to see what happens in the first few skirmishes.

Go ahead and move the chariot to Zhitomir and fortify. He can more easily roam from there than anywhere else.

As for extra troops, I think I'm good right now. I intend to try and take one, maybe two more cities and attempt to negotiate a peace treaty. Naval vessels or structures are just fine right now. If we get intro trouble, we can switch.

As our final battering Ram was catching up to Assault Force Tartan in Chernihiv, a Ukrainian Chariot ambushed them in the East Stirling Forest. It wasnt even a battle but a rout. There is Scottish blood covering the trees in the forest

Our first real military disaster. The ram had left Stirling in its final goal of meeting up with Tartan and just simply got caught working its way through the forest. Limited mobility, lightly armed troops, lack of experience, etc. It was a massacre.

The new Highlander in Edinburgh needs its promotions.

The Hypaspist in Chernihiv is fully armed and ready to roll, sir.

Now Im going to Maryland through the weekend and will jump on this again on Sunday.

The warrior in Stirling has been taught the spear.

SIR!! The Ukrainians are mounting a counter attack towards Zhitomir. We have some troops in the forest spying on them but this could be the beginning of their attack. While our troops cant march today is their some words of advice or directions to heed? Our troops are co-mingled amongst friendly Ottoman troops which may prevent Tymoshenko frmo attacking immediately, unless she would like to invite the Ottomans to join our war.

As for the counterattackers, fortify two highlanders (if available) in that forest, retreat the remaining contingent to the city when possible.

I gave him the Woodsman II promotion however due to his time in Charlemagne's camp he is actually due another promotion:

He has begun his move to the front as the promotion can be handed out on the way.

W/in that forest East of Zhitomir is a Highlander, Spearman, and battering ram. The contingent from Chernihiv heading due south continues its travels through the mountain pass.

The Ukrainians attacked Zhitomir destroying our only Highlander there but they failed to take the city when all we had defending was a battering Ram. The entire contingent in the forest just East has moved back into the city of Zhuitomir as an emergency.

The highlander that destroyed the Chariot in the Eastern Stirling woods, that had been dispatched frmo Tartan needs some instructions sir. (you can see them in the pic of Chernihiv below).

A Highlander from Glasgow, dispatched some time ago, took advantage of their Woodsman II experience and was able to make into Zhitomir today sir, snapshot here:

Forfity troops in Zhitomir and prepare for the siege.

Move that highlander I sent to attack the Chariot south towards the fray. Keep him in the woods when possible.

Illini, it's not worth building troops from Chern right now. However, to our workers, I heavily request getting a road cut through that forest ASAP.

And now that we've had the short break from troop building, I now ask my governors, in the spirit of Civ 2.

Move that highlander I sent to attack the Chariot south towards the fray. Keep him in the woods when possible. Illini, it's not worth building troops from Chern right now. However, to our workers, I heavily request getting a road cut through that forest ASAP. And now that we've had the short break from troop building, I now ask my governors, in the spirit of Civ 2.
