LOL.

I have a reasonably complete team, I could use a starting pitcher, and a defensive minded CF who hits better than Bris Lord, but I could go into next year as-is with a shot at being the team that loses to Ruth in the playoffs again. My payroll is 18 million.

It looks like I'll be blowing Amos Strunk out of the water with a ludicrous offer.

Not getting Zack Wheat = not a good season for Washington.

I thought I broke the bank for what he was worth...

I don't remember exactly what I offered him but I offered him a hell of a lot more than the offer he accepted.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know the number, but I know that I felt dirty with my offer and when I saw what he signed for I got a little bit confused.

I can remember finding it comical that if I signed him, I would have a $30 million outfield. I'm pretty sure I offered twice as much than he signed for.

actually i just looked mine up before I updated the file. I offered 5 years and 10 per, with MVP bonus on top of that. Maybe he didn't want to be tied down so long.

A little late, but I added the Red Sox to Champions Row on the FOOL webpage.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing this banner several more times on there

I guess the AI must've made signings for Detroit. Detroit's new owner is waiting to have his account on the boards approved, but once it works, he'll be here in time for this season.

File is up.

If ever there was a draft to let the 14th pick or whatver it was walk away due to FA compensation, this was it. Yuck.

I forgot to expand the rosters for spring training. Do you all want me to push back ST a day? Let me know.

In any case, I put up a new file that allows for expanded rosters and run the draft/ST tomorrow. I like to give folks an extra day, because the running everything consecutively gives people less margin for error if they miss or forget.
