So to break away from the setup and game functionality talk for a bit.. I decided to be adventurous in the first season and am going to play my #1 draft pick starting pitcher at second base in the minor leagues.

I'll probably totally wreck him as a prospect, it will end up just not working well.. but I have way too many pitchers already and it will be fun!

I got an 18 year-old reliever who is already a stud. Should be fun!

Well, I guess we'll be starting our first season now. Let's see how this goes, shall we? I'm just hoping for no snags.

Well any hope of a run away pennant in year one, just won't be, as the races are as close as ever, coming down the stretch.

So the final day of the season comes down to one game in both leagues.

New York is in Louisville to play the Black Caps.
Baltimore is on the road in Philadelphia.

In the NL, St. Louis is on the road against Brooklyn, where a win would force a play off
series between the two teams for the NL pennant.

Thanks DC!

I guess it is fitting that we start off with Cards and Yanks as the two league champs

I was thinking the same thing, but I certainly can't take any credit for this one. Thanks AI for birthing me Nap Lajoie and a fine group of complimentary players!

Thanks DC.

so which league was tougher that year? The AL with 4 teams with at least 80 wins or the NL with all teams winning over 70 games? Looks like my Pirates team took some good beatings. I sure hope Cy Young resigns with me.

I am at work right now, but if you have access to the game, you can find it from within there. Go to the Game Menu -> Online Reports and it should take you to it.

When I checked over the weekend, there were no reports up, but I assume they are now.

Sorry, 'bout that.

Here it is: FOOL-Historical Home

I still need to fix the logos and such alike, but otherwise it's there.

What happened to the 162 game schedule, interleague play, and the wild card playoff round?

I messed up with all of the migration issues and trying to fix stuff that I think I was just glad to get it together and that there was major hiccups.

I'll fix it for next season, because I wasn't even sure if there was inter-league play until I looked...but I didn't want to write the rules with it not how it was. So I'm gonna fix it for next year, including the post-season thing since that's pretty much FOOL consensus and I think interleague play is critical.

If there were to be a vote, I would vote for 154 game schedule, no interleague and no wild card.

I don't care what the settings are as long as it doesn't take me 80+ years to stop having late season collapses that let the Yankees win the pennant...

Don't trade them Babe Ruth in order to start your broadway musical "No No FOFette" and you should be fine!

As far as the settings are concerned, I think we ought to have interleague play, because it keeps things interesting and keeps people talking across the leagues. As for playoffs, we probably ought to keep it old school and keep playoffs out of the mix for now. I only added it to the original file, because it's sorta FOOL precedent at this point, but..I'm fine with dispensing with that.
