Anybody know when the private FOFC game is going to be done? Cause so far we have five with open spots.

Yeah, I'm not sure if we have enough left overs to create another one. If the league that is going on right now is going to be over within a week or so then we can just wait. That way we have a full league. If we start a new one with fewer people then the other league will finish while we are in the middle of ours.

as per my calculations, the current FOFC IndyCar we have going on will run its last race on July 28, so you still got some time to go...

Hmm.. How many private slots do you get with Kool Tools? Working with only one private slot is a bitch.

you get 4 slots of each (private, public, midseason) for a total of 12 active games at the same time.

I currently have 10 spots filled...

Woah.. Now that is sweet.

I am currently in just one public game and I catch myself checking BATracer 4 or 5 times a day, even though there is no reason to. I just keep getting antsy.

3 hours and 15 minutes till my next race

yeah, it's sweet. Pretty much means that, as I said before, there's something happening in a series every few hours, with usually a few things to check when I log on in the morning...

I haven't looked into this, but can you race "normal" cars? Like, on the Speed channel they'll show races with Nissan 350Zs racing, or Subaru Imprezas in rallys. Things like that...

Or is it strictly NASCAR and F1-type races?

They have the different types of series on their main page.

I'm new to this, but the closest thing I see to what you are looking for is this.

as scoobz posted, the BTCC series would be more like what you're describing. It's got a touring and a production side, both competing their race at the same time. For example, I'm in a BTCC series driving an Alfa Romeo 156 in the production side of things. I won a race inproduction, yet finished 15th overall, so there were some faster cars that had to deal with us, lowly production cars...

here's a sample of the cars you can pick in a BTCC series:
Touring
[ Select: Astra Coupe ]
Dominant Vauxhall Astra Coupe. 2ltr 16v Engine: 275bhp @ 8500 rpm; 280 Nm at 7000 rpm. 10 setup parameters.
www.vauxhall.co.uk

[ Select: MG ZS ]
The MG Rover Group ZS turns an impressive pace. 24v V6 revving to 8500rpm and producing c270Ps. 10 setup parameters.
www.mgcars.co.uk

[ Select: Proton Impian ]
This Proton can offer some surprises to it's opponents. Mountune prepared 2.0ltr 4 cylinder 16v engine. 10 setup parameters.
www.proton.co.uk

[ Select: Civic Type R ]
A formidable hatchback makes a competent racer. 2.0ltr straight four cylinder 16v engine producing some 280bhp. 10 setup parameters.
www.honda.co.uk

[ Select: 406 Coupe ]
For many, one of the most attractive and desirable cars in the field. 270bhp from 2.0ltr 4 cylinder engine. 10 setup parameters.

Create a New Team

Select a Car:

Production
[ Select: Renault Clio ]
Ferocious little racer. 2ltr 4 cylinder engine. 5 setup parameters.
www.renault.co.uk

[ Select: Alfa Romeo 156 ]
Bring Italian flair to the British Touring Car Championship. Janspeed prepared Alfa twin-spark 2ltr 16v engine. 5 setup parameters.
www.alfaromeo.co.uk

[ Select: Honda Civic ]
Production variant of the Touring class car. 2.0ltr straight four cylinder 16v engine. 5 setup parameters.
www.honda.co.uk

[ Select: Honda Accord ]
This more traditional Honda saloon has been a highly competitive racer in past championships. 220bhp. 5 setup parameters.

[ Select: Peugeot 306 ]
Highly successfull in many other categories. 2.0ltr 16v straight 4. 5 setup parameters.

Rear wheel drive German saloon should give the front drivers something to worry about. 2ltr 24v straight 6 cylinder developing 240bhp. 5 setup parameters.

I already got 10 going, that would fill my 4th private spot, so I'll wait for now. Also, I usually like to learn about a series in a midseason spot and since I've never ran in an F1-1986 series before, I'll try to do that before entering one....

The one that me and SirFozzie are talking about is an F1 2007 series where we are teammate in teh Super Aguri team.

The other one, where they are talking about making a dynasty out of it is one I found, organized by a veteran of BATracer. It's basically a ChampCar kind of series where everybody is forced to take the exact same car/engine/tire setup with 8 teams of 8 fighting it out in a private league. Me and vex ar both part of existing teams (separate teams) and the other three have been granted a team of their own...

After seeing this thread run by a few times I signed up. I have to do some academy races first. Right now I am in 16122 a BTCC series running a Puegeot 306 in production. I just joined the first open team and luckily my team leader had a decent setup going, because I screwed up practice pretty good. By the time I figured it out I only had 2 sessions left then it said I screwed up and wasted my last one, so I only narrowed down one setting more than my leader.

Finally got my first podium! 3rd in a Spyker at Barcelona. I had second right up til the end, until a freaking Ferrari nipped by me by two tenths.

If it were interactive, I would have rammed the SOB. :P

That Tasman Motorsports team will be an italiano-canadian one my friend...

I'm currently in one V8 series as a single driver team, will be interesting to see if I (and we) can do better as a team driver. I'm 11th after 8 races in that series.

Points are given to all finishers so being able to simply make it to the finish is always nice, especially in the first race of a three race event, with the second race being a reverse grid start among the finishers...

I like Le Mans a lot, even though I'm doing BADLY at it.

I have waaay too many games.

Once these are done I'm cutting it down to:

FOFC series
BTTC
Le Mans
and then some private competion such as prc.
and MAYBE a '07 F1.

I already cut my games back to only playing games that are FOFC only, or a good number of FOFc players, or a teammate with an active fofc player. I was at 11 games for a while myself. Just not enough time to do that much

oh and also another BTCC production just to drive a Beemer in a race
...

Fixed that for you...
