What's funny is if you talk to Clinton folk and HW Bush folk, they will each insist to this day that Perot's participation helped the other guy.

I'm not sure that we ever got a clear answer on that.

Nearly 20 million votes, 19% of the total, for a odd-talking old Texas independent was pretty incredible. He was really able to hit onto something.

I wonder how Trump would have done if he ran as an independent in '92 on a fiscal conservative/tough on crime/attacking Bush for the tax cuts kind of campaign.
