Given that this is the last bracket section in round 1, and Thanksgiving only days away...my plan is to wrap up voting for remaining round 1 sections, and start round 2 on Monday (12/2)

Mozart v. Beethoven? Out of 200+ songs that’s a pairing? The draw’s a fix I tell ya!!!

Saw Timbuk 3 and ticked it without reading the second song... Our House... Untick, think a little while - that’s a tough draw!

Dola, just realised this is a OHW competition. Madness are obviously seen very differently in the US: clipped from the Wikipedia opening statement:

This was similar to my reaction as well. Few songs probably could have beat out Timbuk 3, particularly this early, but Our House is one of those songs.

Thoughts:

Modern English vs Dishwalla - unfortunate match up for Dishwalla...

Reunion vs The Honeycombs - Despite its similarity to the loathed "We Didn't Start the Fire" Reunion wins...in what was one the lowest voted pair of the entire first round...

Timbuk 3 vs Madness - brutal first round match up - Madness' blow out win is definitely worth watching...

Musical Youth vs Ocean - no doubter

Van McCoy vs The Flys - huh...the disco line dance beats a decent rock song...actually the strange thing is - based on previous results - I expected this...maybe didn't expect the voting to be so lopsided, but I did expect "The Hustle" to win.

Wilson vs VooDoo - not a lot of love for VooDoo, but enough for this round. Next round will be interesting after Hustles strong round 1.

Falco vs Murphy - super easy to predict, especially after the Falco support on the original thread and earlier during the after the fire version of Der Kommissar.

Gerardo vs Phantom Planet - Easy to predict, and I don't like Rico's chance in the next round.
