The more I look at how the Day 3 vote went down, the more I think Schmidty is the good guy. He piled on to J23 just after a run on him. I'm not sure he does that if he's a wolf. Just looking at my chart it didn't stand out to me so much.. but it does when I look at the thread.

I'm not actually. I just feel bad about voting for Telle because of the missed votes. It kind of hurts any complete analysis of her, especially since she's been pretty low-profile this game.

I'm willing to consider either of you, but since you're so convinced it's me, I have to go with you to save myself. I guess it kind of is a crapshoot.

By the way, I work from 9 am - 2 pm PST tomorrow, so I'll have to decide if my vote will stand tonight (or early in the morning) because I won't be here at the deadline to change anything.

This is tough.

But I think I know who I will be voting for. Let me try to cobble together my reasoning.

First of all, I considered Telle. I sort of wanted to give her a chance to place a vote on Schmidty or PB as I think a wolf would possibly take advantage of the tie over the past few hours to come up with a reason, place a vote on one of them and hope I followed along. The fact that she hasn't indicates to me that she is more likely to be a villager.

So I looked closer at PB and Schmidty. They each have a point in their favor that makes them look like villagers.

PB had his conversation with AlanT.

Schmidty had his vote for J23.

So it's possible Schmidty didn't quite know what to do as a wolf and tried to sneak in a vote for J23 to help himself because it looked pretty clear at the time that the tide had totally turned toward a lynch of him (which it had).

And then there was the weirdness around the clap vote when we were trying to figure out if Jackal or clap was the seer.

And Schmidty looked like he pushed hard to keep us from lynching clap.

And here's the problem if you vote for me. Let's say you do that, and then out of the other two I manage to pick the real wolf. Well then all he's gotta do is move his vote to me and that makes a tie, which is no lynch.. and then night kills one of us and then he's got the 1:1 ratio since KWhit doesn't count.

One small thing I forgot to mention in PB's favor is that he was pushing for no lynch in days 1 and 2 instead of voting for villagers. If he was a wolf, i would expect him to try to lynch someone that he knew was a villager since that would benefit the wolves, IMO.

I just trust Schmidty's vote on J23 more than I trust PurdueBrad's convo with Alan.

And I like your analysis on Schmidty.. but don't you think there would have been wolves in contact with Schmidty right when he got on telling him where to vote? He wouldn't have had to read everything to catch up.

I know. Just trying to look in all directions. I would make sure to make a case to get the other guys to follow if I really thought you were a wolf. You are the only person that I don't have good indicators of guilt or innocence on yet.

Wanted to respond to this. Yes, J23 and The Jackal were both around during the time that Schmidty was debating who to vote for. My only thought is that they decided J23 was a lost cause and that Schmidty should try to gain some credibility by voting for him. It's weak, I know.

KWhit, while I would love to move the spotlight off myself in any way here, this is my exact read on Telle which is why I couldn't bring myself to vote there. I stand by my vote and will go down with it if I'm wrong.

You just cost us the game. I've explained all I can, over and over. I'm not a wolf. Period. If I get lynched, the game's over.

What do you want me to say? I want us to win, so give me something. I only have a couple hours until I'm out of commission until after tomorrow's deadline.

Here are my reasons for each player:

PurdueBrad - I actually only started noticing him in the past day or so, but the way he sort of passive-aggressively pushed the vote for me, and his (very good) analysis even of himself, really pushed me toward him.

Telle - Much less of a solid feel, but the thing with her is that (tossing aside her missed votes because of RL) she's been really under the radar and going with the flow. Not really adamant about anything, and not really putting herself out there as much as most people. Slight gut-thing.

So basically as I said, it's a crapshoot.

I'm not a wolf, but I've pretty much exhausted what I can say unless you have any questions that I can answer that I haven't thought of.
