Oh, wait, I thought witness = seer. Rereading the rules, that's not the case. So it sucks soft.

Yes, this is what I meant. I mean, with 16 people in the game was it really just a good guess?

No, Narcizo was the Rabid Wolf. I just looked at the rules and it doesn't say anything about Rabid=Alpha. I'm betting Narcizo was one of the Alpha's picks.

plus this is bigger than getting the alpha. the Rabid wolf was lurking and we had to know it was at least a possibility it would be in play.

That does get interesting. Having converted him a couple of times I know that Narcizo hates being a wolf. But he would have been on a short list of mine to pick as a wolf anyway.

BTW, I agree with clap that anytime we get a wolf day 1 is a good one. The magistrate did his job well (nice couple games there, KWhit!) and though it sucks to lose any other good role at least witness is less useful than the seer or bodyguard.

Wow, lots to catch up on in there. I'll look at the voting in a bit. I'm a little disappointed at losing two roles but we did get a roled wolf (if that is such a thing). Overall I would say good day for us, but tough losses.

and as someone who has been and alpha wolf before. I chose people of all amount of percieved abilities in b eing a wolf. Some choices were due to not playing with folks before. So I would not at all be surprised with a newer person as Alpha

You were so quick to maintain the status quo. Did you happen to be involved in these decisions? You were the only one who voted for Heinz then KWhit like Narcizo did (albeit MUCH earlier).

Sure. I made sure to pick people I did not know and were not thought of in the same respect that iwas. That led me to pick WVU who ihad never played a game of werewolf with before.

Oh I see, so you're saying that the alpha wolf could be someone that people have a different read on, compared to Narcizo? I thought you were saying that as the alpha, you would pick wolves with varying reads -- but you're saying you would pick people different from you?

or at least that Ihad no idea how they played. I got t opick 4 so I had a bit more leaway than what I assume this one had. I believe this was my first game as a wolf. and I chose Blade (loud player with a lot of practice at being wolf); solid and "helpful" , LSG who was newer but who had played very well in the previous games and the aforementioned WVU whom ihad never played with. As an alpha I picked folks to complement me as a player and those that were complentary of each other.

My first thought on who would pick Narcizo was Sonic Youth.

If I was on the other side of the world I would at least want someone I could talk to when i was awake.

I've got some, but I don't want to throw out an accusation at this time without my thoughts in order about it. But you're the only one with a vote out there -- now that the dust has settled, are you still thinking of changing it?
