Phoenix - Honoring our Heroes (Part 2)
The Pre-Race Just Got Started as I Jay Jianoran qualified 10th in this race diving the #12 California Music Channel Chevrolet as we get to here from Natalia Parraz who will read those Military Men and Women who were dead prior to these race itself including Sgt. Ronald A. Kubik who is placed in the windshield of the #12 CMC Car that I'm going to start today. RIP: SGT. Ronald A. Kubik 1988-2010 However during Driver Introductions when Rachel Mealey gets to read the next driver who is racing in this event "Starting 10th today at Phoenix, Driving The #12 California Music Channel Chevrolet honoring Sgt. Ronald A. Kubik in the Windshield from Alameda, CA, Jay Jianoran!" I Got to do my entrance and I got cheered as I jumped to the crowd and I hi-fived a lot and my Dad (Eleno) joined in on the fun, Wow, That was fun. After that the Command to Fire Engines are ready to roll and they will be done by this woman who drives the #90 Bumper Save (our race's title sponsor for this event) Ford whose windshield is named after Private First Class Charlie Anthony who is killed during the Vietnam War on May 12, 1969, Lauren Gelzayd. "Now for the moment we've all been waiting for all right drivers let's the command... Alright, Alright wait for my cue racers, It was my pleasure to ask you to please fire the engines and start it up. (Jay (in car): "Well this could be it, gotta get the good times rolling, whoo!), as the great elwood once said We Did It, Let's Get the Race Started!" Jay: "Let The Crapfest Begin, Let's Go" Nicole Bucciarelli-clone (on Spotter): Good Luck, And Let's Hope you get the Checkered Flag! Jay: "Sure I Am, Let's Go Racing and let's start the Crapfest because It's Showtime!" 43 Cars came to life as Alan Kulwicki (whose windshield is named after Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Thomas J. Dudley) and Mark Martin (whose windshield is named after Army Sgt. Jonathon Hunter) took the first pace lap, 3 pace laps later, The Pace Car (driven by Elmo Langsley) heads to Pit Road before US Air Force Veteran, Steve Burruss waved the Green Flag while Darrell Waltrip said "Guess What Guys were gonna get this thing started, c'mon Jeff (my crew chief) help me out (Jeff: You Wanna Do It?) All Right, BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY, Let's Go Racing Boys!" And So It's Showime as Mark Martin past the torch to get the lead early but later Kevin Harvick kept going and a lapped a few cars then Jeff Burton took over until the halfway point driving the #99 Exide Ford whose windshield is named after Air Force Tech. Sgt. John Chapman Then Fourteen Laps to go Martin hanged on the Lead but in the End Davey Allison (whose windshield is named after Army Sgt. 1st Class Ricky L. Crockett) led the final 14 laps en route to victory at Phoenix.
