Export deadline is now always going to be set to 10pm eastern. And I'll always give you at least 24 hours between exports, if not more. The file going up now will be the last chance you have to offer extensions in-game before the free agency period begins, which will be with the next file. Because of the holiday, after we sim the first stage of FA, we'll go on a break until Saturday. This way, no one misses out on potential free agents because they weren't around or whatever.

Hey Tasan:

Just a fast-sim OOTP12 league. After two years of not running a league and testing out various fast-sim models, I got the itch again. Moved the league to this forum after demoing it off-site.

Main differences are:

- Split Season Schedule (so essentially two seasons in one)
- $100m salary cap
- Draft held in middle of season and during all-star break you can make player adjustments/trades before we sim the 2nd half.
- Schedule is mapped out over about 13 days, to sim a season every two weeks ideally.

That's about it, save for the talent differences, no all-blue 5-star studs floating in these parts. The idea is basically the same, but in the old days people would write and always tell me that they'd be interested but that it was just too fast. And running it, I always felt like you never got to savor your players.

So we're still fast, but not breakneck.

The pace here is actually about perfect. Still fast enough where we will be able to watch entire careers pan out but not so fast that I won't be able to enjoy watching that happen.

I also like the ability to make mid season changes.

Hey guys - not sure I know many of you yet. I'm new to the fast-tempo sim scene. All of my experience is in more standard leagues, so I'm excited about trying something like this.

Ok, so with Memphis going to the AL, the AL is full meaning the other two teams will be NL teams. But if we get an owner that would strongly prefer an AL team over the non-DH, I'll move New York to the NL. It's no big deal.

One notable thing that we'll end up dealing with later, but I wanted to bring up specifically for Tasan since he knows fast-sim and for you Jack, though you can ask questions is the whole mid-season auction period.

With the all-star break, we do the draft and it's your chance to make adjustments, deadline deals and also to sign free agents. But you don't sign those FAs in-game during the mid-season break because it would take too long for the game to consummate the deals. So we do a public auction for those players where I post a thread and people make public bids on the guys they want. It's only for guys you want to give ML contracts to, not minor leaguers or whatever.

So the minimum offer is 1 year/1 million (which ends up being prorated to $500k in-game) for auction players.

Not important to day, but just something that's also a difference with this particular brand of fast-sim.

Well, to his credit he will only be 27 entering next season, he belted 32 homers and drove in 132 runs AND plays very solid defense (at a premium position if placed at CF).

His ratings seem to be on par for what would be considered a star player for the current league talent level.

He is right in his prime years to drive negotiations for a career type contract.

If I needed an OF'er, I would at least entertain signing him.
