1855 Off-season Thread

Ok, so we're going to expand by two teams this upcoming year as I mentioned last year. We won't do an expansion draft because we have two owners out of the pocket (CGO and WIN) and instead, we'll just add the two new teams and they'll just join into free agency like everyone else starting this year.

For draft purposes, the new teams will pick 3rd and 4th respectively.

The owner of the A.L. team will be muns, he was the GM of a juggernaut team back in the old days of FOOL with the Hartford Harpooners winning over a dozen titles. So he's a fast-sim veteran for sure and while things do get quiet around here (hah) he'll at least be an active owner helping us muck things up a bit.

I'm going to take over the new expansion team in the N.L., after 16 years in the AL and a year off, it'll be nice to try something a little different.

Justin Gorman

Linked to his player card.

Basically one of the most dominant players in the league when he first showed up, but his career fell off a cliff. I think I'd vote for him, but I'd be curious to hear what other people think.

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. But I'll obviously know by the time the file goes up.

For the record, the new file isn't necessary for anyone other than muns. It's just largely for decoration if you want to see the new (no images yet) teams actually listed in-game. I can't install the new schedule until the pre-season.

Your exports will work with the file that's out there right now.

Looks like expansion fever is in the air. We have two more super experienced OOTP guys coming over to join us.

Which would put us back to our original 12 teams.

I actually wouldn't vote him in. I think he had 7 good years and couldn't keep it up to warrant entry in. I do however think he is borderline and could see why people would want him to make it
