Ping: Craft Beer Enthusiasts (and everyone else, too)
So I pulled my cousin this year in my family's Secret Santa gift exchange. I found out recently that she's WAY into craft beer (has a blog about it and everything). I thought it would be cool if I could get her a sample of some local craft brews from places that aren't around here. If anyone has any local brews they enjoy and wouldn't mind doing a little legwork for me, I'm more than happy to pay for postage/shipping + beer + gift of gratitude for helping me out.

I assume she has had most of Southern California's offerings?

I'm a huge craft beer guy.
Even tried brewing my own (horribly) for a while. Charlotte, NC has a strong local beer scene and several local breweries I frequent. I'd be glad to assist. Any idea what style of beer you are looking for? Last edited by CU Tiger : 12-01-2014 at 01:56 PM. |

just make sure, anything you ship is NOT marked beer... its illegal to ship it (not that it stops anyone), those who do ship label them yeast samples or something similar.

Label it as Olive Oil, if they make you put something for contents.
We've got quite a few craft breweries in the immediate area. Ping me, and we can work something out before I'm immobile next week from knee surgery.

I'm not really into craft brews, so I probably wouldn't be much help on the suggestion front, but here's a link that might be useful for those shipping.

I'd help too, NH/VT have some excellent offerings. I'll save her from trying my own Auerbach Red Ale.

Not a beer guy but Three Floyds is hugely popular in Chicago. People turn out in droves for Dark Lord Day in April.

She's a big fan of Stouts, but likes to try it all. Thanks for the responses guys, some PM's being sent as we speak.

And yeah Digamma, she's had most of SoCal's stuff. If there are any limited availability (holiday offerings, etc) things you know of though, I'm not sure she's had the chance at those.

I got my dad a couple shipments membership to the beer of the month club's rare beer offering for christmas last year. Pricey, but cool. I think you can get a smaller # of shipments then I got too.

Lost Abbey - best high-end craft beer I've ever had. Judgement Day is a partucular favorite
