I haven't kept up on all the latest talk on Tournament Dreams so I was wondering if anyone sticking with it out there has found these fixes (all the way up to 1.33?) have finally made this into a decent product? I stayed away because of all the negative feedback but still might be interested if they finally delivered on it.

I don't see why TDCB keeps getting all the negative feedback. It's been a very stable and enjoyable game for me.

Once it got to about 1.21 it was playable and very good by 1.30. What are the major tweaks in 1.33.

Uh, TDCB has multiplayer support? I have totally stayed away from this game(no real reason, just other things to do), but if there are some good multiplayer leagues going on I might reconsider.

They held off on the multiplayer stuff until they got the solo game satisfactory for everyone. Once the game was working properly for mostly everyone, they got the multiplayer stuff working.

There is an online league forum on the 400 board for helping people find leagues. The only league I knew of was running by someone that ended up being found out to be a big cheater in online OOTP leagues, and the TDCB league folded as well. I believe there are lots of smaller leagues where like 8 people get together for a conference or whatnot though..

I havent joined any leagues primarily because I always end up spending the time on ootp when I have spare time. maybe I would reconsider if some people I knew were going to do one.

Interesting... I definitely love college basketball enough to put forth the effort... I may have to look into this.

TDCB folded? Fancy that...

I don't think the big TDCB league folded. Last I remember they gave UConn the title, were getting ready for season two and also setting up a league for TPB.

Here is the thread where the guy responsible for the huge NCAA TDCB league was found out to be a cheater.. Several people in the thread mentioned the league just dissapeared at the same time..

I am going off of heresay, but will take any good opportunity like this to bring back up a great thread in cheater outing In the memory of Horns....

The main reason I could not get into TDCB is because of the attributes. I took over a team that finished a season 4-18 (or something like that. We had 4 wins). But when I look at the players, the "bars" filled the screen. What I mean is that intuitively, it looks liek all my guys were superstars. But they weren't. I rarely saw a player that had what I would intuitively call bad ratings.

But anyway, I give it a shot every once in awhile. Usually it only lasts a season or two. It's a nice looking game, but I just can't get into it.

The VCB is indeed dead. They gave the first title to UConn, and were preparing to play the next season, when everything just up and stopped. Apparently about the same time the shit hit the fan at .400.

The VCB commish was outed as a cheater at OOTP and accused of some very nasty things.

I have had a few commish's speak with me since the 1.33 update went to BETA and all had positive comments about the upgrade, specifically for multiplayer.

So, if any of you are interested in running a TDCB league, let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Since you're asking, maybe change the web site creation to lower case so the commish doesn't have to go through and manual rename the files that are under 8 letters long (since case does not carry through for short named files when posting).

So I shouldn't feel bad about resigning from VCB, despite threats I'd never be able to join another league in any sport as long as I lived?

I had the same experience. There just seemed to a minimal amount of correlation between a players ratings and how they performed on the court.

Edit: Not to slam the game or anything, it was a first version. I'm just hoping the next version concentrates more on improving the game engine and not so much on adding "cotton candy".
