Any of you guys signed up for a new game that is still accepting signups over there? I'd like to get in a WW game in the next couple weeks and figured I'd check here to see if anyone is involved in any upcoming games.

There's "Late Night Tacos with Crimson Fox," which may never actually start, but can't hurt to sign up for. I'm also signed up for the "Bad Poetry Redux," "Dangerville 2: Electile Dysfunction," and "The Amazing Race 2" on the list of games with designated start dates.

Wow, so many games at once. I think I'll always stick to one at a time

Spotted this now. The games I listed in the second sentence are each spaced 2 weeks apart, I think. It's interesting juggling sign-ups for games with set start dates (that delay if not full, like here), and games that start shortly after sign-ups fill. I haven't been stuck in multiple games at once yet, and I hope not to be any time soon...

I just finished my first game over at BGG. I think I will just play over there from now on. Much easier to get into a game and dying early is no biggie as that means you can just join another one. Would love for all of us to move over there as well.

I'll look into it. I've been too busy lately to think about it ,but when I have more time I'll look for some games you guys are in.

The system and all new players was intimidating at first, but after one game I feel comfortable with it now

I played in CF's game a while back. It is hard dealing with a new crowd and new style, but it was fun.

I find myself playing more non-WW games over there. The WW regulars are pretty post-happy. I know I enjoyed CF's game, with a few more of us involved, the most of the WW games I've played on BGG.

Yeah they are. I actually may not be able to play too much as I started working and now find keeping up incredibly difficult.

Fox and I talk every so often about the viability of moving not only this forum's WW players, but the standards and mindsets of the group. I feel like we'd be able to do so pretty well--we play night games, which tends to segregate us from a decent portion of the BGG WW crowd; we have our own favored rolesets, that do not necessarily line up with what regular players there are used to; and so on. Something to keep in mind.

Yeah, I'd be willing to play a game that had a lot of FOFC players in it and maybe was modded by one of us. I'm not sure I have the time to keep up with one of hteir regular games, and I post a lot! Also it's hard because so many of them are just waiting for signups, so I don't dare sign up for many.

If anyone wants to jump in to the BGG game called "Late Night Tacos with Crimson Fox," you'd find a couple familiar faces there.

I just signed up over there. Probably will wait for a low complexity game to begin with.

Did I miss the heyday of this site? There are a few games that have been posted for awhile without filling up. One I was looking at looks like it was posted in 2013 and still hasn't filled up.

We are hoping you are part of the rebirth! We went through a long spell of not being able to get enough people to play, I think as the board got less and less new members. Now it seems we may have a chance of making it go again. We used to have a game pretty much always running. It's not like BGG, though, we generally just run one game at a time.

Games can spend a long time queueing. If you want to get going, your best bet is just to sign up for several and see which one takes off first.

Sorry Autumn, I was referring to BGG. Seems like they have a lot of games that have been posted for a long time and appear to be dead in the water.

I am aware of the hiatus that took place here, and yes I will definitely join another game here on the FOFC site.

Was just hoping to get some more experience with the game. There are subtle things that some of you are picking up on that elude me at this point. Think I just need some more games under my belt.

I will do that. Was looking for something that will start and end within the next 10 days. I have a 5 day ice fishing trip coming up so I may have to delay starting a game until after I get back.

So I started my first game over at BGG. Holy shit are they all into reading what people say versus what they expect people to be saying. I'm so confused and a bit worried I will cost my team the game. May be the only one I try over there, not sure I am good enough to read people based on that method.

~20 games in, I'm not sure that the crowd is terribly good at reading people, either. There are a few standouts, though.

There are a few clones out on android, dearie. And it says they are making one of their own as well. Don't know if that is complete.

This looks to be the closest but the original artwork/design is much bettter imho
