Future Phenoms (FM20)

Going to work on a dynasty in my down time for FM20. Not so much a dynasty as a "let's see what happens".

Basic Setup: Going to take 11 youth players from the US (thinking 16 years old, believe they will exist in game) and editing them so they have maxed out potential, the possibility to become soccer legends. Will then follow them throughout their careers to see if they achieve their potential and if they turn the US in to a soccer powerhouse.

The following post will be used to populate the players who will be highlighted.

Will go with a basic 4-4-2 group of players.

Where do you come in? That is a very good question. I have a very basic "job" for you. If you want to name a player and give them a back story, send me your details and I'll add it/edit the player.

The Players
GK - Tom Perez, Keeper (Union Academy) - Still with the Union Academy. Has played 14 matches so far this year and has allowed 28 goals in those 14 matches with 1 clean sheet and 1 man of the match award. Seems to have a long way to go.

Left Back - Manuel Romero (Earthquakes Academy) - Still with the Earthquakes Academy. Has appeared in 9 matches (8 starts) with an average rating of 6.26. Has picked up a couple yellow cards.

Center Back - Kamil Lukasik (free) - Has not signed on with a club as of yet.

Center Back - Tripp Love (Cedar Stars Academy) - Still with Cedar Stars Academy. Has appeared in 12 matches so far (all starts) and has scored a goal. His average rating is 6.66 (an omen?) and he has 1 man of the match award so far.

Right Back - Jeff Wingo (Sounders Academy) - Still with the Sounders Academy. Played in 10 matches (all starts) and has been man of the match one time. Has an average rating of 6.65. Is currently dealing with a twisted ankle injury that could sideline him for up to 2 weeks.

Left Midfielder - Mike Schaplowsky (Sounders Academy) - Still with the Sounders Academy. Has played in 14 matches (all starts) and has 1 goal and 2 assists. HAs an average rating of 6.62.

Center Midfielder - Giovanni Reyna (Borussia Dortmund) - Is with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Has not yet appeared in a competitive match. Played in 5 preseason friendlies where he impressed with 3 goals, 2 assists and an average rating of 7.42 while earning man of the match 2 times in those 5 friendlies. Only a matter of time for the youngster.

Center Midfielder - Jim Purnson (free) - Has not yet signed with a club.

Right Midfielder - Leandro (IMG Academy) - Still with the IMG Academy. Has played in 14 matches (all starts) with 1 goal and 1 assist. Earned man of the match 1 time but has also picked up a red card. Has an average rating of 6.87.

Forward - Lee Mahon (free) - Has not signed on with a club.

Forward - Alex Donovan (Cedar Stars) - Still with the Cedar Stars. Has not yet seen action.

In the MLS the NYCFC lead the east and have clinched a playoff spot. The west sees 4 teams within 3 points at the top (San Jose, Portland, Seattle, and Sporting Kansas City).

Left Back - Manuel Romero (Earthquakes Academy) - Still with the Earthquakes Academy. In 5 matches he picked up an assist and has raised his average rating a bit to 6.39.

Center Back - Kamil Lukasik (Cittadella) - Signed with Cittadella of the Italian league. He was assigned to their under 18 squad. He has played in 1 match with an average rating of 6.30. He has a 22.5K value.

Center Back - Tripp Love (Cedar Stars Academy) - Still with Cedar Stars Academy. In 5 matches in September he scored a goal but his average rating has dropped slightly to 6.61.

Right Back - Jeff Wingo (Sounders Academy: pending transfer 2021 OGC Nice) - Still with the Sounders Academy. Has agreed to a transfer for January of 2021 to OGC Nice. Has played in 4 matches and raised his averate rating to 6.72.

Center Midfielder - Giovanni Reyna (Borussia Dortmund) - Is still with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Playing with the youth team he has looked very impressive. In 4 matches in September he has scored 6 goals and added 1 assist. He was named man of the match 1 time. His average rating is 7.54. His value is listed as 2.4 million.

Center Midfielder - Jim Purnson (free) - Has not yet signed with a club.

Right Midfielder - Leandro (IMG Academy) - Still with the IMG Academy. Has not played over the past month as he is out with a back injury. May return in a couple weeks.

Forward - Lee Mahon (free) - Has not signed on with a club.

Forward - Alex Donovan (Cedar Stars: pending transfer 7/2021 HB Koge) - Still with the Cedar Stars. Has a pending transfer for July of 2021 to HB Koge. Saw his first action of the season as he came on as a sub. He scored a goal in that match and had a rating of 7.10.

In the MLS NYCFC still leads by 5 points with Atlanta United and Orlando City tied for second. In the west San Jose, Portland, Seattle, and Sporting Kansas City still find themselves separated by just 3 points. Josef Martinez of Atlanta United leads the league with 18 goals scored,

In the Premier League, through 7 games, Arsenal leads with 17 points, Liverpool 1 behind with 16, and Manchester City and Everton both have 15. Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero lead the league with 6 goals scored.

Update - 1/1/2020

It's the start of a new year. How have our players been faring?

GK - Tom Perez (Union Academy) - His season completed. He started 22 matches for the youth team and in those 22 matches he allowed 40 goals with 2 clean sheets and 2 man of the match honors. It wasn't the greatest of seasons for him as he had a pedestrian 6.65 average rating. He has not received any additional attention as of yet.

Left Back - Manuel Romero (Earthquakes Academy) - His year was not one of promise. He did start 20 matches and managed 2 assists but managed only a 6.36 average rating. His season is over and he has not received any attention from elsewhere.

Center Back - Kamil Lukasik (Cittadella) - He continues to be on the Cittadella under 20 squad and has played in 8 matches with 1 goal and was named man of the match 1 time. He had also received a red card. His average rating so far has been 6.60. His value has increased a little, to 27.5K.

Center Back - Tripp Love (Cedar Stars Academy) - His season has completed and he will be remaining with the Cedar Stars Academy as of now. He started 22 matches and did manage 2 goals and 1 man of the match award. His average rating was 6.60.

Right Back - Jeff Wingo (Sounders Academy: pending transfer 2021 OGC Nice) - He has one more year until his transfer goes through and his current season is over. In 19 matches he was man of the match one time and had an average rating of 6.65. HE had an ankle injury that he fought with during the season.

Left Midfielder - Mike Schaplowsky (Sounders Academy: pending transfer 2021 Bordeaux) - He has exactly one year until his transfer goes through and his season had completed. In 24 matches he scored 3 goals and had 2 assists. His average rating was 6.62.

Center Midfielder - Giovanni Reyna (Borussia Dortmund) - He has played 21 matches total for the youth squad. He has scored 20 goals with 8 assists and 4 man of the match awards. He is looking extremely promising at this point in his career and may be the future midfield star for Team USA. His average rating has been 7.52. The question will be how much longer until the now 17 year old makes his debut for the parent squad? His value has increased to 2.9 million.

Center Midfielder - Jim Purnson (free) - One of the bleaker stories so far, he has been unable to gain interest from any clubs.

Right Midfielder - Leandro (IMG Academy) - Has not had any outside interest as of yet. He is in his off-season. In 17 matches he scored 1 goal with 1 assist and 1 man of the match award. His average rating was a decent 6.90.

Forward - Lee Mahon (free) - Another one of our players who has not yet received any interest.

Forward - Alex Donovan (Cedar Stars: pending transfer 7/2021 HB Koge) - The 16 year old has a year and a half before his transfer goes through. Surprisingly he played in just 2 matches and scored 2 goals. He had a 7.35 rating.


The World
In the MLS NYCFC beat Portland in the MLS Cup to win the title.

In the EPL, Liverpool leads the way with 48 points in 19 matches (15-3-1) with Arsenal in second with 45 points, though Liverpool has a match at hand. City and United follow with 43 and 41 points.

Update - 7/1/2020

After half of 2020, where do they stand?

GK - Tom Perez (Union Academy) - Has started 6 matches this season and allowed 8 goals with 1 clean sheet and 1 man of the match award. Has improved greatly since last season and has an average rating of 7.62. Has dealt with some injury issue this year already with a foot injury that he is recovering from and a broken rib earlier in the year.

Left Back - Manuel Romero (Earthquakes Academy) - Has only seen 2 appearances as a sub with a 6.10 rating in minimal play. Currently undergoing rehab from a back injury.

Center Back - Kamil Lukasik (Cittadella) - Last season he started 23 matches with a promising average rating of 7.31. Is listed for loan in an attempt to get him some added playing time. His listed value has increased to 41K.

Center Back - Tripp Love (Westchester Flames) - Has signed on a free transfer with the Westchester Flames.

Right Back - Jeff Wingo (Sounders Academy: pending transfer 2021 OGC Nice) - Has played in 16 league matches with 1 goal and a 7.37 average rating. Started 1 cup match and played an outstanding game with an 8.50 rating.

Left Midfielder - Mike Schaplowsky (Sounders Academy: pending transfer 2021 Bordeaux) - Has started 13 matches with 3 goals, 1 assist and 1 man of the match award. Has received 1 red card this season. Currently out with a fractured cheek bone injury.

Center Midfielder - Jim Purnson (Orange County) - Finally signed with a club, Orange County. Waiting for first action. Somehow listed with a 75K value now, rare increase with no activity.

As we enter 2021, Covid-19 in our rear view mirrors, and careers starting to form.

GK - Tom Perez (Union Academy) - His season has been over as he trains for 2021. He started 28 matches and allowed 27 goals (much better than his previous year so he is on the right track). He had 11 clean sheets and was man of the match 1 time. His average rating was 7.32. Still no rumblings of moving to the next level.

Left Back - Manuel Romero (Madison) - Moved to Madison as a free transfer. Between seasons. Saw very little action with only a 6.00 rating in 3 matches. Now has a listed value of 230 (not K, not million, less than the cost of the latest x-box).

Center Back - Kamil Lukasik (Cittadella) - Playing in the under 20's. In 8 starts he has 1 red card and an average rating of 6.46. HE has been nursing a thigh injury for the past several weeks. Is listed with a 55K value.

Center Back - Tripp Love (Westchester Flames) - Did not see any action.

Right Back - Jeff Wingo (OGC Nice) - Has transferred to OGC Nice (today). With the Sounders Academy he played in 33 matches with 2 goals and 2 assists while picking up 2 man of the match awards. His average rating was 7.40. He is presently listed in the reserves for OGC Nice. His value is listed as 42K.

Left Back - Manuel Romero (Madison) - Has started 4 matches in league play with a 6.35 average rating. Has played in 1 Cup match with a 6.20 average rating. No value listed.

He has played in 5 non-league matches for the Under 23's and has allowed 5 goals total in those matches with 2 shutouts, 1 yellow card, and an average rating of 6.86. He is waiting for his chance to break through to the parent club but he has Allison and Karius ahead of him just on the parent squad. His value has jumped to 7 Million.

Left Back - Manuel Romero (Madison) - Finished last season having started 23 matches with an average rating of 6.47. His value has jumped from nothing listed to $230 dollars.

Center Back - Kamil Lukasik (Cittadella on loan to Fano) - Is on loan to Fano. Has played in 6 non league matches. Scored 2 goals with 1 assist and an average rating of 6.83. His value is listed at 115K.

Sorry, has been a rough week with work (now on a furlough so we had to bust our asses getting everything turned over to our India offices).

Today is day one of the furlough. I am working on coming up with a schedule that will include time for yard and house work, time expanding my web site, blog, and youtube channel, and I also want to spend some time on these dynasties (one for now).
