Then there's the ones that I put in the "Trying way too hard to be an artist" category. You know the ones. Their friends are an aspiring photographer and she's an aspiring actor/artist and all of her pictures look like they came out of a stock photo portfolio.

For entertainment purposes during freshman year in college I had a yellow marker board where I kept a top prospects rankings list. Everyone had code names to protect the innocent.

No, I did not get any dates as a freshman. (Which I knew was going to be the case, especially considering I maybe ever talked in passing to one girl on the list.)

From what I gather about online dating, it seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do just to keep track of folks - especially if most of them you haven't actually met, or if the site keeps recycling the same people.
