dude, as I told you in PM, I say keep the team but simply put your assistants on autopilot for the time you will not be available. I mean, you did some good recruiting last season, brought in the ACC Atlantic Division title, you should definitely try and see where you can take that team. I'll be happy to go struggle with the Lobos in warm New Mexico.

The file is on the website, I downloaded it last night.

Did you have an issue getting it downloaded or setup?

more with getting it setup. Do I simply download the initial league file, then the post-sim file and then what?

It is my first time in a BBCF online league... I sorta thought he would have to set me up with a password or something. I can wait until later on tonight for that too.

You need to unzip it all in the saves folder and then load up the game, select the FOFC league from the ones available and then you must select your team and enter the password. I guess you still don't have the password, Cartman should PM it to you in the forums.

You guys all need to shut up before you talk me into re-installing this and re-joining the league, which will just eat into my already scarce free time...

So you wouldn't be devastated to give up a school that is impossible to win games with? Hmmmmm. Team loyalty versus a basic desire to be competitive. Tough choice... Tough choice.

Not in 2007 or 2009. Both times Ohio State won the Big 10 outright. The complicated ties happened in the 2006 and the 2008 season. See the old forum posts. But, I can understand your selective memory.

I guess my memory is no better. In 2006, it wasn't a complicated tie, both Purdue and Michigan were each (7-1) in conference with Purdue winning the head-to-head game.

Were all crazy in the big 10, thats the moral of the story. And you only won in 2009 because you didnt play me. And 2007, well you may have won the conference but who won the national title?

Go here and post a team request for whichever team you want. Any conference that is more then 50% human will have to approve you, though ive never seen someone turned down. Cartman, the league mod, will then give you all the necessary info for taking over and running the team.

Looks like I've got the votes to get in at Michigan State. Can't wait to get my password and get started.

I find it interesting that BBCF considers Penn State to be MSU's biggest rival. I guess it's just a matter of Michigan already matching up with Ohio State and PSU not really having a natural rival in the Big Ten. Personally, I plan to schedule and destroy Western Michigan repeatedly and will consider them my rival. Maybe Central or Eastern as well.

The reason PSU and MSU are considered their biggest rivals is because, upon Penn State's entrance into the Big Ten, the two schools agreed to play for the Land Grant trophy every year...thus setting up a yearly rivalry.

I know, it doesn't seem natural, but they are land grant schools, and they both agreed upon it when PSU came in.

Hope that helps explain it.

That's not as bad as NCAA 08, where the easiest way to fill out your legend meter in CL mode is to play for West Virginia, who has something like 5 supremely winnable rivalry games per year. 2 seasons was all it took...

And it appears Penn State may be opening back up, as Kodos wants to switch to Indiana now...maybe lungs will go there now that he is jobless, not sure.

It's been a while since we've actively solicited coaches. We've had the usual attrition, but we have a core of about 20 coaches who have been with the league for over 10 seasons now!

If you are interested in joining (or rejoining) the league, now is a great time. We just completed the championship game, where Wisconsin has won their 3rd title in a row. Recruiting is right around the corner. We have a few conferences that are wide open and ready for coaches to step in right away. And a few marquee teams are available as well.

Here's the thread with the list of teams: FOFC-BBCF :: View topic - Official list of teams We sim three times per week: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Take a look, and we'd be happy to have some new blood join us! Let me know if you are interested, or have any questions concerning the league.

The FOFC-BBCF is about to start the 2019 season. We've been at this for just over 4 calendar years now. We use the playoff system, with bowls for the teams that don't make the playoffs.

If you've been having an itch to pick BBCF up again for a multiplayer league, now is the time to join! The new season starts on Sunday. Here is a link to the list of teams that are available:

FOFC-BBCF :: View topic - Official list of teams

If you are interested, send me an email or PM me. I had to turn the open posting off in the new users thread due to massive spam attacks.

If anyone still has the multiplayer itch, the league is still around! We just had an extended layoff, due to issues from upgrading to a new version of PHP and phpBB. We have had a solid core of users over the past few seasons, and would like to see if anyone would like to come back into the fold if they drifted away, or join for the first time.

We'll be starting the 2030 season after Easter, so if you see a team you'd like to take over, let me know.

Since there have been a few deals lately on BBCF, I thought I'd throw this out there in case anyone might have the multiplayer itch. We are approaching our 10 year anniversary so we are one of the longest running BBCF leagues. We wrap up recruiting next week, so the new season will start a week from Sunday.

Maybe. I need to see if I can get my copy working on my surface and go from there.
