God, I just looked at the full Bears draft for 2011.

OT Gabe Carimi
DT Stephen Paea
S Chris Conte
QB Nathan Enderle
LB J.T. Thomas

That is bad, even by Bears standards.

I'm hoping Vegas will give me odds that the next 4 taken will have better careers than the first 4. I mean, is there really that much of a difference compared to Mallett, Kaepernick, Stanzi and Dalton?

These were my contributions to this thread. Unless Newton wins the Super Bowl, so far group 2 has been at least/if not more successful.

You think that's bad?

Take a look at the Lions' 2011 draft:

Nick Fairley, DT,
Titus Young, WR
Mikel Leshoure, RB
Doug Hogue, LB
Johnny Culbreath, OT

From a 2014 ESPN Article reviewing this draft class:

"Draft grade overall: F. Heck, if I could give this draft a "Z," I would. Seriously, this might be the worst draft in the history of drafts for the Lions – maybe in the history of the NFL. Of the team’s five draft picks, four ended up being arrested at least once during their NFL careers. Only two, Fairley and Leshoure, are still in the league. Only one, Fairley, made any sort of impact in the NFL."

2011, the year we were gonna make the Bucs the terrors of the NFC South. Adrian Clayborne, Daquan Bowers, Mason Foster...all gone with the wind...

In five years, when Tebow is leading Denver into the playoffs and Cam Newton is riding someone's bench, remember this article.

There's some serious reverse-Nickelback shit going on with Cam Newton, lots of people coming out of the wood-work to tell us they told us so.

Wow, that's a horrible article. Even if he was right about Cam, his reasoning was horrible. And this sentence is particularly egregious:

Quote:
Most of his yardage was gained by running the football.

Just a blatant, outright lie. I mean, it has to be a lie because it would take 5 seconds to find out the correct numbers.

Not only that, he says this:

Quote:
Most of his yardage was gained by running the football. But this is the NFL. You had better be able to read defenses, pick up blitzes, recognize different coverages, etc. or you will not last long.

and then goes on to praise Tebow.

I'm surprised I never weighed in on this thread, but I loved the Dalton/Green combo pick when it happened, and I probably love it even more now. I wanted Dalton to be a Bengal as soon as he won the Rose Bowl. Pretty glad to see him starting to really break out now as he continues to develop.
