Can you get me off the hook, Tom? For old times' sake?

Talk about odd timing: the early morning national radio show I was listening to this morning was chatting about him and mentioned it's crazy that he's still alive.

I may be confusing my memories but I swear on 9/11 I was listening to the local norfolk hacks and they were talking about how cheap airfare was and how they were going to give all kinds free air trips away.

So I don't know if this belongs here or in the Thoughts Not Important Enough for Their Own Thread thread, but Vigoda passing got me clicking on Wikipedia and, one thing and another, I ended up watching an old episode of Barney Miller on YouTube. It was on in the background when I was a kid, but I never watched it before.

(1) Amazing theme song.
(2) For an older show, it holds up really well. It certainly has that 70s-80s sitcom feel to it. But I watched the whole episode and enjoyed it. A lot of 80s shows I can't get through more than 5 minutes. This was a lot better show than a lot of what was on at the time.
