Agassi v. Federer
I know this is probably the last thing on everyone's mind, but Agassi leads Federer 3-6, 6-2, 2-1 right now. This could be another classic.

That last shot by Federer to break Agassi was very, very solid.

Wow what a 10th game in that set (3rd).
I'd love to see Agassi win this. He's definitely been playing better than Federer from what I've seen /tk

Damn.... Agassi just seems to be out of gas. Losing that 3rd set was tough.

Agassi is such a monster to be at this point at all. So nuts.

My wife and I have always love to watch Agassi and have been following him since his beginnings. But these new-age cannon servers like Federer have no appeal to me. That's not tennis (as Borg and Mac would say).

Hmm. Bummer on this 4th set. Guess Agassi got really tired, still awesome that he got so far, but a bummer to see Federer win. I'm not a fan of Federer's style of play nor his attitude.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about? Federer is a complete stud. Just because soda isn't a nickel anymore doesn't mean everything is wrong in the world. |

I wouldn't call Federer a "cannon server". He's only 5th on the year in aces (and mostly because he's played more matches then the rest of the people on the list.)
He has 481 aces in 68 matches. That's just over an average of 7 aces per match. That hardly qualifies as "cannon server". As opposed to Andy Roddick who has 758 in 59 matches (almost an average 13 per match). And these numbers wouldn't be high for the 80's or 90's either. Sampras had over 1000 aces in one year. (Since the year is almost done, Roddick will not get near that). |

I didn't like Sampras either. But actually, I may have been thinking of Roddick instead of Federer (I get those two mixed up sometimes). But like tk said, I still don't like his style of play or attitude.
sov, a complete stud? I'll have to remember that one. |

Bucc's just angry they don't use wooden rackets and serve underhanded anymore.

As I said: classic torchpassing match. Agasssi was gracious in defeat to Federer, the greatest tennis player I've ever seen.
