2nd. Eddie, you have the luckiest team I have ever seen. I don't want this to sound like sour grapes, but we should have won that series.

You guys won 8 straight division playoff series to reach the classic, that's pretty lucky too, no matter how good you are. Ofcourse, the old saying goes, you have to be good to be lucky. And you guys have been the class of FOOL for a decade.

With that said, congrats on this run, it's been simply amazing. I may try to steal some of that Miller luck from you in the offseason.

Haha me too. I have a young team, a protected first rounder and something like $40-50 M in cap space. I am hoping to "Dan Snyder" my way back to respectability!

Haha! It's all good. The team was lucky to win some series that's for sure. I'm glad to be lucky and get there 8 consecutive years. Reached the playoffs 10 straight years. Have only 3 non-100 win seasons in that span. I have never had a team perform like this before in any OOTP league! But now the downfall....A desert of a farm system and old players who will be leaving the team.

Looking back a little more on this team.....I'm not sure it was a lot of luck...

We won the Pitcher of the Year award 8 years in a row
We won Hitter of the Year Award 6 out of 9 years only losing to McCromley those bad years

During that time frame we also had 3 Rookie award winners as well.

Only finished in 2nd once out of those 10 years and we had 103 wins that season...

Eddie, i didn't mean luck as in you were lucky to be there. That's not the case.

I meant Luck as in no matter how good you are, getting to 8 straight FOOL classic's is lucky. In order to win short series, there is an element of luck. To win 8 straight short series, no matter how good you are, is lucky to an extent.

Hell, I consider every playoff appearance lucky for the Marlies

The only great sports franchise that has ever had a similar run was the Celtics I think.

I think Johnny was talking about playoff series only when he was talking about luck. As we all know, the best team in the regular season isn't anywhere near as successful normally in the postseason, where we see upsets far more often.

I think of a lot of it had to do with my pitching staff. I had no weakness in my rotation top to bottom which obviously truly helped.
