CL Honors Outstanding Fielders

The defensive dream team in the Republic League for 2095 has been announced, and the Slick Fielder Award trophies will be presented to these outstanding fielders:

CL Hands Out Kien-lung Teng Award
Thursday, November 3rd, 2095: First-year jitters didn't bother this year's top rookie, Don Harris of St Louis. Harris performed like a vet on the hill as his poise, talent and good numbers parlayed themselves into the Continental League Kien-lung Teng Award.

His stats included 81 relief appearances, 93.1 innings, 110 strikeouts, 4 saves and a 1.35 ERA. The St Louis relief ace earned 6 wins against 1 loss.


2095 RL Best Rookie Named
Thursday, November 3rd, 2095: Glenn Orton, catcher for the Spring Lions, had a good freshman year, highlighted today by his selection for the Republic League Kien-lung Teng Award for 2095.

The standout Lions catcher took the honor by hitting .289 in 159 games this season and finishing with 159 hits, 28 home runs, 88 RBIs and 70 runs scored.

Continental League Top Hurler Announced
Saturday, November 5th, 2095: The St Cloud Raindrops have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's Anthony Rigsby, this year's Continental League Mauro Morales Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Rigsby compiled a 18-7 record in 33 starts, tallied 148 strikeouts in 212.1 innings and recorded a 3.01 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .245 batting average against him.


Waikiki's Johnson Snags Mauro Morales Award
Saturday, November 5th, 2095: The hottest hurler in the Republic League this season was Tim Johnson of the Waikiki Beach Boys. He caught the attention of everybody in the league on his way to winning the 2095 RL Mauro Morales Award.

Johnson starred with an impressive 20-5 record in 31 starts. The Beach Boys ace gave up 214 base hits and struck out 140 in 220 innings with a 2.33 ERA.

Plantana's Sekine Takes 2095 Bartolo Liriano Award
Sunday, November 6th, 2095: Tokaji Sekine has been around FOOL-X enough to know a good hot streak when he sees one -- and he got to see one firsthand all year. For his standout run through the 2095 season, he's taking home the Bartolo Liriano Award in the Continental League.

The Plantana center fielder put up a batting average of .324 with 37 doubles, 8 triples, 32 home runs and 113 RBIs.


Republic League Names #1 Hitter
Sunday, November 6th, 2095: 2095 was a very good year for New York Legends left fielder Mauro Sandoval, this year's Republic League Bartolo Liriano Award recipient.

Sandoval had an impressive season, hitting .330 with a .412 on-base percentage. He totaled 207 hits, 50 doubles, 3 triples, 41 home runs, 132 RBIs and scored 111 runs.
