Promoting our League

It is my opinion that we possibly have the best spectator-worthy league in OOTP multiplayer today. Alan does a great job keeping the HTML up to date, we have lively forums and widespread participation, and best of all, we have instant action 3 times a week!

With our weekly season and Sunday night postseason, fans and visitors could follow the fortunes of their favoritest FOOL with little effort but frequent payoff! With barely a passing interest, Tuesday night's free agent bonanza would also become appointment bookmark clicking!

I hope to start a DYNASTY thread on the OOTP forums. Some of it will be straight reporting, factual assessments of important league developments. Some of it will be from the skewed perspective of the Tattler.

I would love it if others would take some of the load. I know several of you are very interested in the Hall of Fame's doins (another great selling feature for our potential fans! We have a Hall of Fame and a rich history).

I am not suggesting this just for fun. I feel that the biggest threat to any multiplayer league is the abandoned team. FOOL in the past experimented with an "active waiting list" via the Vulture League. I think that if we get some lurker traffic, it will serve as a holding tank for future owners. The one daunting thing about this league is the schedule. If someone finds themself visitng for our sims, they might realize they actually have the time to play if a team opens up.

On a related note, I think we owe Ramz a debt of gratitude for hanging on while we try to fill his team. I am also gratified to see that Pike has decided to remain in the fold and will continue rebuilding a winner for Chicago.
