The time has come, my friend. Next Saturday night my UTEP Miners will be coming to visit Memphis and your boy DeAngelo Williams. I've been waiting a long, long time for this...

We suck.

Plus we are down to a true freshman at QB and a WR as his back-up (or so, we think.)

We are down one quaterback. Two quaterbacks have already gone down. If we would have won last night I would be in a smack talking mood.

Terrible. We gave up 37 points to Tulsa. Palmer should have a field day.

This is setting up a great thing if UTEP loses.

This game still scares me...facing a great running back in his own house is never fun.

There is no chance hell that will happen. All the UTEP offense has to do is show up. DeAngelo is good but we have got a true freshman at QB.

I love my Tigers but this is going to be a long, long year. Still, it takes baby steps to build a program.

I watched some of UTEP's game against New Mexico last night. I wasn't very impressed with the Miners. Memphis wins this one BIG.

OK, I'm being facetious, but I still hope for a Memphis win.

There is always a chance. I am not saying it will happen, but they play the games for a reason....

What's the early line? Based on this thread, I may have to put some money on UTEP...

Indeed. Our D-line is beat up (but getting healthier) and we gave up like 160 to Dontrelle Moore last night. Of course, we had to watch the pass against UNM, but still. Our rush defense has been less than impressive so far this season...

Golden Eagle is right.

Our defense is worse than last year's...I didn't think that was possible. UTEP may win this one in a rout, Unless we direct snap to D'angelo everytime.

Memphis loses this one. You know the program is getting better when they expect more from the team. There were some people this morning wondering if West needs to be let go!

Somewhere JeeberD weeps. The poor guy has not been online since the loss.

DeAngelo Williams picked up Memphis and put them on his back and carried them to victory. He is the real deal.

Deangelo IS a stud, but he had about four carries for 130 yards and another 31 carries for just 100 yards. But that's what great backs do, they break long runs even when they're getting pounded. You can only hold them down for so long...

Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. What a fucking game. I don't know what to think about JP anymore...he hasn't looked at all like he did last season so far this year. I don't know if he was able to get away with passes in the WAC that he can't get away with in CUSA or if he's just flat out regressed. However, he's still our best option at QB...

Best of luck to Memphis the rest of the way. I would love to get a second shot at you guys in the CUSA championship game.
