Extensions?

One Years?

I do not extend P Ferguson or OT Schwartz

Two years….

I extend Maumau for 5 years and 145 mill

Prior only wants three years, so I’ll wait until next year

Maumau’s current has dropped to 46/74. He was in the 50s, weird.

Rookies?

Here’s Skudris after a camp and preseason. He still sucks at the courage, but is strong everywhere else.

Here’s Kristosik after he dropped a bit. He’s great at rush D and hitting, but weaker at picks and that’s not what you want for a 71 pot CB, but beggars can’t be choosers

Here’s my other 70+ stud in the draft…

SILB Hudson, with a 70 pot. He needs better run D, but he’s good at pass rush, coverage, play D and punching. Good stuff Hudson! Actually….should I move Hudson and Luciano at WLB? Doesn’t this guy’s lower run D but higher pass rush and coverage fit WLB? Lucky Luciano has 89 run d after dropping to 62/62. I do, I swap them and give him the WLB spot

Both Skudris and Kristosik.

Rookie Investigation

QB – There is a stud QB with an 82 pot taken at 1.2 by the Saints. We have a 62 pot, and then that’s it, none others are 50+.

RB – We have three in the 60s, 5 50s. Lighter.

FB – None have a 50 pot.

TE – We have a stud with a 75 pot taken at the 1.13 spot, and then 6 in the 50s and that’s it

WR – Skudris is the best with his 72 pot, the rest are 65, and then 3 in the 50s. It was a light WR Draft and we were lucky to emerge with the best. The 2nd was taken later 2nd, and we could have grabbed him at the 2.2 spot.

C - 74, 70, 66 – This was a 3 C draft.

OG – 5 in the 60s, 3 in the 50s. Top heavy.

OT – 3 70s, 8 60s, 8 50s. We did not really get as good of an OT as we could have.

D Line – 2 70s, 5 60s, 13 50s. Not a bad draft for D Line, but we didn’t really do well. Murray finished at 57.

LB – After booming, Hudson is the 2nd best LB. The top is 83 pot. 0 60s and then 8 50s, so in a real way this was a 2 LB draft and we got one!

DB – 86, 3 70s, 9 60s, 15 50s. We emerged with the 4th best Dback in the draft at 2.2. Nice!

The 2067 Regular Season

In every dynasty other than the 1st round bust first round with the Snakes and the 1st round RB bust in the 1st round with the Bucs, we’ve turned the corner in year 3. But with Maumau that low? I doubt we’ll get that big winning season, so I am predicting 9-7 this year. I wouldn’t be surprised by anything from 7-10 wins though. We’ve only once had a 9-7 record, by the by. We’ll be giving you the full details this time inc. injuries that are out or major ones to Maumau.

OG Velazquez comes out of Preseason out with tobacco withdraw symptom.

Week 1 – DC – Every time we face the Washington National Football Team, it’s a battle of their 1.1 QB vs ours at 1.2 in the same draft… they will be forever linked. We win today’s battle 24-17. MVP is Maumau, with 23 of 31, 255 and 3:1. D’Arcy with 2 scores and Prior 1. FF by Meyer, rec by Smith.

Week 2 – At Miami – We thump them 34-7. MVP is Maumau with 29 of 42, 248 and 2:1. Grogg and Hudson with scores, Grogg 92 yards and 1 score, rush core by Starks, Picks by Bernard and P Ferguson, FF by Luciano, 6 KRB by Doebert,

Week 3 – At SF – We lose 10-20. Maumau was 22 of 36, 188 and 1:1, Skudris his first TD as a rookie, pick by Bernard,

Week 4 – Detroit – We win 23-10. MVP is Grogg, 29 for 112, 2 scores, Maumau is 14 of 23, 157 and 1:0, score by D’Arcy, pick by Horn, FF by Lowther and Luciano, rec by Bernard and Smith, 2.5 sacks by Andersen,

We are 3-1 at the first quarter!!! We’ve gotten our groove back.

Week 6 – At Chicago – We lose badly 7-33. I’ll skip the woodshed.

Week 7 – Richmond…uh oh…. – We lose 14-24, Maumau was 26 of 40, 215 and 1:0, score by Prior, FF bY Kristocik, rec by Chandler,

Week 8 – BYE

Week 9 – At DC – We beat them at home, can we sweep them? We do and win 20-7! MVP is Maumau, 21 of 33, 277, 2:1, Skudris two scores, pick by Chandler, ff bY Bernard, 3 pasdef by S Cotchery,

We are 4-4 at the half.

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Maumau – 338 of 535, 3633 yards, 25:9, 91.6

Much better in everything! Maumau finished 9th in yards, tied for 2nd in scores, 5th in rating. Good stuff!

Rushing

RB Grogg – 188 of 662, 3.52 ypc, 4 scores
RB Starks – 156 of 589, 3.78 ypc, 6 scores

They basically split carries with the injury. Neither did great though.

Receiving

Skudris with 1k yards in his first year. And 8 scores. We had 10 players with at least 1k, and Skudris was 8th most in the league. Not bad rookie! Prior again was 2nd in grabs, scores, and yards. Hudson and D’Arcy looked nice as my 2nd and 3rd receiving options. This was a very down year for Rose with just 121 yards and no scores.

Blocking

We have to get my KRBs back to normal if we are going to really push my rushing effort. This was not great.

Special Teams

K Di Pietro – 26 of 34, Long of 55, 39 of 40 PAT

Just an okay year by my kicker. Great PAT numbers but too many missed FGs

P Hills – 91 punts, 46.1 avg, 39 in 20

Another fine year inside the 20 an our avg was solid as well.

RB Starks – 2 PR RET TDs

Cathey led my team with just 20 special teams tackles

Defense

After moving him inside, Lucky Luciano led my team with 112 tackles, although Lowther was right behind him. Man Lowther’s 7 sacks were nice! He led my team! None of my D Line had more than 5 sacks, not great. In his rookie year Hudson got me 3 sacks.

Pass Coverage

Horn and Bernard had great years at picking and T Ferguson and S Cotchery starting at my S positions recovered at least 10 pasdef. Rookie Hudson with 4 pasdef but no picks. Not a great year for him.

Off. Player of the Year – QB Carson Maumau – He was in the top 10 in every stat and was 2nd in passing TDs, and looked solid this year as he becomes more comfortable therein. Good stuff!

Def. Player of the Year – SLB Corwin Lowther – This FA signing led my team with 7 sacks, and had a great year! Good stuff!

Special Teams Player of the Year – P Bryce Hills – He has gotten better at avg and his inside the 20 was a solid mark as well. Good stuff!

Rookie of the Year – WR Demetrius Skudris – Netted more than 1k yards as a rookie? Led my team in scores? Good stuff rookie!

Heart Award – RB Sammie Starks – 2 PR RET TDs? Stepped into an injury opening without losing a step and getting a better ypc? Good stuff!

The 2068 NFL FA Period #1

We pick… 1.20.

In this draft it’s really all about BAP. My goal would be to grab a great O Lineman I can use to build up my disappointing O Line play. There are a few solid O Line, but most are OTs, and likely to be off the board when the 1.20 comes up.

I sign my RFAs – OC Blackburn won’t resign due to a lack of playing time.

I have 50 players and 77 mill for new players. I won’t chase my UFAs.

I extend TE Prior for 68 mill, 3 years

Anyone I wanna chase?

I don’t make offers for DT Roller or DE Linquist from the Rattlesnakes. I’m still trying to find a permanent player at NT. Roller would be that, but he’s a pricey 125 mill over 5 years….

Actually, is that too pricey for a 75/75 DT?

Hmm….

Anyone else? Nope. I go ahead and make that offer for Roller.

Week 2 - Roller signs

Alright, now let’s look at my resigning…

I’ll show you.

Here are all of my players with a year left. I’ll hold off of most of these and keep them going barring my draft. Can I resign Starks? I do so for 16 mill 3 years!

I hold off on the others.

Week 6 – OT Schwartz signs with KC

Who’s ready for some drafting?

Pick #12 - Miami - Pierce, Gabriel, WR, South Carolina
Pick #13 - Las Vegas - Hamilton, Dixon, CB, Pennsylvania
Pick #14 - New York - Bilek, Nicky, ILB, Minnesota
Pick #15 - Chicago - Saldivar, Josiah, TE, Cincinnati
Pick #16 - Detroit - Wheeler, Brad, CB, Clemson
Pick #17 - Kansas City - Boyer, Joey, WR, Arizona
Pick #18 - New Orleans - Shepard, Bradley, CB, Mississippi
Pick #19 - California - Reiss, Darren, WR, Illinoi

As you can see, we’ve had WRs, TEs, CBs, QBs, and OTs all over the first 19 picks…

Who do I like here?

DE Xavier Russell – A stud looking top looking player on the board. I have not interviewed him as I was targeting OLine, but he looks sexy.
OG Brody Rittenbaum – Okay bars, not amazing, Hard to Read.
OT Rico Webb – Okay bars, overrated
MLB Alec Naranjo – Okay bars, very underrated
OT Cornell Upshaw – Better bars, Hard to Read
OC Gregory Ziadie – Stud, As scouted

Here…let me show you Russell, Upshaw and Ziadie

Russell is strong at Run d, pass rush, play D and hitting. Even if he busts a bit he’s pretty good.

Here’s Upshaw… As you can see he’s fine at run and pass block, strong at strength, but weaker at endurance. If he holds he’d be a force of nature, but that’s a big if and I have no combine scores to guess the direction given the Hard to Read aspect of this OT.

Here’s the stud OC on the board. Nice, As scouted…

So who do you do?

My biggest position of need is OT. I have a solid OC this year in Doebert and Cs often fall. I have two DEs that are patches. However, I passed a stud NT for a lower quality OT and have regretted it. Upshaw is too much of a random gamble…so I grab the stud DE Russell. I need youth, badly.

2.20 – Is DE Dorn still available? He was on the board for a while. If he is I want him. If not a consolidation prize might be DE Marquis Prewitt. Dorn is still on the board…

Here is Dorn and this is good in case Russell busts and looks good across from him as well, and in one draft I may have rejuvenated my D Line!

3.20 - OG Gavin Mauriello is more of a run blockier than my current OG Bowers. I grab him.

4.20 – Who do I like here? Hmm… SLB Jaylen Goel doesn’t look bad as a grower.

5.20 – TE Gary Jalbert looks fine. I really need a good 2nd TE.

6.20 – OT Tyler Florez looks pretty solid. I had just 2 OTS going into the draft and we passed on Upshaw so I take Florez.

7.20 – CB Devan Phelan looks to have fallen and is the 4th best DB on the board. I snag him.

Rookie Lookie #1

1.20 – DE Xavier Russell, Texas, 44/89
2.20 – DE Rondell Dorn, Washington State, 33/81
3.20 – OG Gavin Mauriello, Colorado State, 28/63
4.20 – SLB Jaylen Goel, Penn State, 30/51
5.20 – TE Gary Jalbert, UCLA, 27/44
6.20 – OT Tyler Florez, Pitt, 20/64
7.20 – CB Devan Phelan, Oklahoma State, 37/48

There you go!

The 2068 NFL FA Period #1

I have 58 players under my contract so I don’t need many UFAs

UFA

QB Glen Podolyak
Rb Marcus Hoffman – Looks like a nice grower
OC Alejandro Weisenburg
OC Chester Dunlap
OT Jackson Raymond
OT Jumbo Bergendahl
CB Bobby Perkins
CB Alexis Eastman
LS Craig Torres – My LS’s snapping dropped to 88/88

Week 1 – 5 sign. My RFA OC that didn’t resign with me heads to Atlanta

Week 2 – 2 more sign with us

Week 3 – The last two arrive

UFAs

QB Glen Podolyak, 17/52
Rb Marcus Hoffman, 39/44
OC Alejandro Weisenburg, 14/49
OC Chester Dunlap, 14/61
OT Jackson Raymond, 21/60
OT Jumbo Bergendahl, 37/62
CB Bobby Perkins, 23/50
CB Alexis Eastman, 24/54
LS Craig Torres, 20/20

This was a deep UFA slate of players and these are all good with 50+ ability save for Hoffman. And Torres obviously.

I see you at the camp.

The 2068 NFL Preseason

Deactives and depth charts follow.

I cut Lavalais now to give him a chance to sign before dropping

I am starting Dorn and Russell, Mauriello, and Florez. Those last two are much better at run blocking than other options – key for Grogg and a scrambling QB in Maumau.

Week 1 – At New England – We lose 13-16

Week 2 – Las Vegas – We win 38-10

Week 3 – BYE

Week 4 – LA Chargers – We win 26-3

Week 5 – At Buffalo – We win 24-22

We are 3-1 in the preseason

Rookie Lookie #3

1.20 – DE Xavier Russell, Texas, 44/89; 52/88; 53/88
2.20 – DE Rondell Dorn, Washington State, 33/81; 40/80; 41/81
3.20 – OG Gavin Mauriello, Colorado State, 28/63; 33/62; 33/64
4.20 – SLB Jaylen Goel, Penn State, 30/51; 36/51; 35/51
5.20 – TE Gary Jalbert, UCLA, 27/44; 29/46; 36/58
6.20 – OT Tyler Florez, Pitt, 20/64; 25/63; 23/58
7.20 – CB Devan Phelan, Oklahoma State, 37/48; 44/51; 52/61

Good booms by Jalbert and Phelan! Bad bust by Florez…

UFAs

QB Glen Podolyak, 17/52; 21/49; 20/42
Rb Marcus Hoffman, 39/44; 43/47; 44/52
OC Alejandro Weisenburg, 14/49; 19/49; 18/40
OC Chester Dunlap, 14/61; 21/61; 21/59
OT Jackson Raymond, 21/60; 26/59; 27/58
OT Jumbo Bergendahl, 37/62; 41/62; 44/63
CB Bobby Perkins, 23/50; 27/46; 26/40
CB Alexis Eastman, 24/54; 24/53; 23/49

Is OT Bergendahl my new starter at OT with Florez’s drop? Let’s look…

Bergendahl’s Run Blocking - 20/41
Raymond’s – 14/49
Florez’s – 24/80
Shalon’s – 24/47

Meh for everyone save for Florez. Now are the other stats good enough to make up for Florez’s lack? For example, Florez’s pass block is just 19/63.

Stephens fell to 47/47 so I’ll start Bergendahl as well

I cut these 7 to get to 53

QB Glen Podolyak
OC Alejandro Weisenburg
RG Dustin Velasquez
DE Ty Gray
DE Carter Smith
MLB Jameson Blanchard

Extensions?

I do not extend Horn or Doebert

I sign some good backups.

I want to extend WR Toniolo but he’s too pricey

I extend Tony Ferguson by a year and Cochery by 2 years.

Any 2 years players I want to extend? I extend FB Rose and RB Grogg.

Rookies?

Dude looks like a Stu-ud! (To the tune of Dude looks like a Lady). Dude looks like a Stu-ud! I am so happy I grabbed him at 1.20 by looks, now we need him to play like it. We’ll have an issue in a few years as I won’t likely be able to afford both of my DEs, but Russell is great for now!

Hello Dorn fans! A great 2.20 BAP pick as this guy kept falling. Pick a 81 pot DE at the 1.20 pick and you look good…grab him here? You look good-er. Both are studly studs! We finished with two players that aren’t just my definition of stud at 70+ but 80+!

On the Green Page we have… Russell at the top spot and Dorn 4th. Nasty!

Rookie Investigation –

QB – There was a stud QB at 71, and another good one at 62, and then none higher than 42.

RB – Just 4 more than 50s all in the 50s. Nasty!

FB – 1 in the 50s

TE – Two at 72, 1 58 that was ours, and that’s it for 50+.

WR – 1 80, 2 in the 70s, 1 in 60s, 3 in 50s, so this was top heavy.

C – The stud C we were looking at at 1.20 was taken 2.6 and wound up with a 73 pot. Glad I didn’t take him that’s not that good. 1 61, 2 more at 50s. Dunlap, the UFA, 3rd best OC in draft

OG – 2 80s, 3 60s, 4 50s. Mauriello was the 4th best OG

OT – 1 80s, 2 70s, 4 60s, 9 50s. Pretty deep at OT. We finished with 6th, 10th, and 11th best in the draft.

D Line – With an 88 pot, Russell is the best D Line in the draft. At 81, Dorn is 3rd best.2 70s, 2 60s, 11 50s

LB – 83, 3 60s, 11 50s, Goel was tied for 12th best LB in the draft

DB – 78, 3 60s, 10 50s, Phelan was 4th best after booming to 61 pot.

I move Phelan to S and start him

Good stuff!

The 2068 NFL Regular Season

Ready for year 4? Hopefully we’ll make the playoffs this year! I predict 12-4 – 2 better than last year.

Week 1 – Raleigh – We open with a home game against the divisional winner last year. Can we get started with a win? We do so 33-13. MVP is Maumau with 28 of 42, 264, and 2:2, scores by Skudris and D’Arcy, rush score by Grogg, picks by Horn, Kristosik, and Luciano, FF by Russell. 5 KRB by Doebert

Week 2 – Baltimore – I’ll skip the 38-7 thumping we got…

Week 4 – BYE

Week 5 – Arizona – We win 24-20 again. MVP is Luis Roller, with 3 sacks. Grogg 15 or 109 and 1 score, Maumau 25 of 38, 303, and 2:1, D’Arcy 7 for 122 and 1 score, score by Skudris, FF by Lowther and Russell, rec by Luciano and Messantonio, 2 sacks by Hudson

We are 3-1 at the 1st quarter!

Week 14 – Cincinnati – We win 27-20. MVP is Grogg, 24 for 145, 1 score, Starks another score, Maumau 14 of 21, 192 and 1:1, score by Hudson, pick by Horn,

Out is Doebert and TE Jalbert. I massage my roster. Doebert broke his clavicle and I place him on IR. We’ll start OC Dunlap for him.

Week 16 – At 11-2-1 Cleveland – We lose 24-33. Maumau was 21 of 32, 288 and 1:2, score by Toniolo, 2 scores by Grogg, pick by Horn, FF by Ferguson rec by Phelan,

Week 17 – At DC – We win 34-20. MVP is Maumau, 23 of 35, 245 and 3:0, Skudris 10 for 112, 2 scores, score by D’Arcy, 2 picks by Horn, 2 by Phelan who has a pick six, and one by Hudson. 2 FF by Horn, 1 by Ferguson

We finish a rough 12-4 but that was…ugly. Did you see how rarely we had 100+ rushing yards or KRBs? How few my sacks were? We’ll look at stats later, but was a bad 12-4.

We have the bye, the NFC East win and the #2 seed.

That’s it. Ugly wins like I said, and that’s light All Pros in back to back seasons. Folks? You gotta bring it! Play up to your talent!

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Maumau – 316 of 482, 3725 yards, 29:12, 98.6 rating

He had improved each of the three previous years but this one about the same. 4 more scores and 3 more picks than last year. He finished 7th in yards, 2nd in rating and 2nd in TDs.

Rushing

RB Grogg – 284 for 971, 3.42 ypc, 9 scores

This guy. He just can’t get over 1000 yards to save his life. Part is O Line play, as they have been horrible the last two years with the KRBs. Part is on him. 9 scores was tied for 4th most in the league

Receiving

Skudris couldn’t get past 1000 yards either, although he was closer. 10 scores was 3rd most in the league. D’Arcy had a great season with two 100+ games and 854 yards, and Prior was down in yards but okay in score. Rose is back and netted his 2nd All Pro in three years.

Blocking

Do I need to thoroughly renovate this line? Rose grabbed me 10 KRB and looked good there. He also got me 2 pancakes, more than anyone else!

Special Teams

K Di Pietro – 18 of 22, Long of 48, 52 of 52 PAT

He probably needed more FGS to make All Pro but that was a nice season by all comparisons

K Hills – 82 punts, 43.6 avg, 34 in 20

That’s his worst average yet. He wasn’t that bad in his rookie year!

RB Starks – 2 PR RET TD!

Skudris led my team in 27 special teams tackles. Coaches can we stop that?

Defense

Luciano led my team in tackles again. LB Hudson looked good with 6.5 sacks and Lowther netted me 4. Roller only got me 5.5 sacks despite a massive god day early and he slowed down. Rookie Russell led my team in 8 sacks, and now we need to improve that. Rookie Dorn just 2 sacks and we’ll need to improve that as well.

Pass Coverage

Horn abused the picks with 7 and a pick six, and still no All Pro. 7 picks was the most in the league! Rookie Phelan was great starting for me and got 4 picks and 1 pick six and 12 pasdef. Good stuff rookie! I started Messantonio at SLB due to no real other options and he played nicely. I’m not disappointed by him.

I need to renovate our O Line. We are drafting 1.30. There is an underrated OC stud who might be there at 1.30. Maybe. I interview others who might make things happen. I also could use a stud SLB to renovate my defense, and if there is a Rex Madison style player at the 1.30 I’ll take him. I do some interviews for LBs, O Line. I also interview a stud P but he’s very overrated.

I sign my RFAs. I have 49 players and 81 mill left.

Any extensions I need to make? I extend my P and K for now

I extend Ferguson by a year again.

I extend KR Cathay

Right now I am not extending Andersen, Luciano, Chandler, Stevens, Messantonio, and TE Porter

My UFAs are Horn, Doebert, Meyer and Toniolo. Do I want to resign any? Nope! Any other players we want to chase? Nope.

Week 3 – Doebert signs with Buffalo

Week 7 – Meyer is heading to Miami

Week 9 – Toniolo is heading to….RICHMOND!!! They are stealing our players now!

Week 11 – Horn to Chicago

Le Draft!

The 2069 NFL Amateur Draft

This is the final injection of draftees for the decade!

Drafting at 1.1 is… Raleigh! In the division. They snag…my guess is a nasty QB on the board named Collin Schour… they do so. Good guess. I fast forward 29 picks to ours. Will our C fall? Let’s find out!

Nope Blackwell with 1.16 to the Jags and another C went at 1.25. Wow.

Our 1.30 arrives…who do I like here?

FB Albert Kebsch = The best player n the board is this absolute stud. But we have a great TE and FB so I am skipping him.

WLB Russell Perliman – Poor bars, very underrated – 2nd best player on the board
SLB Jerry Woods – Better bards (a bit) Hard to Read – 3rd best player on the board
CB Mitchell Harmon – Not bad bars for here, weak in picks, I don’t need a great D Back so no interviews for them – 4th best player on the board
MLB Thomas Benton – 6th best player on the board, Hard to Read
CB Colin Carr – 2nd best DB on the board, also solid bars
CB Ezra Battaglia – 3rd best DB on the board, also solid bars…
OG Ivan Sawle – As Scouted – not good run D, great pass D
OT J.R. Montgomery = As Scouted – good at run block, okay pass block, weak str, end

Am I taking a DB here? Right now my starters are Bernard, Phelan, Kristosik and Ferguson. I could replace the latter one easily with a better body. Drafting here is about managing the BAP. If that’s D Back I shouldn’t get upset.

Here, let me show you the three top CBs in the draft

Here’s the top CB on the board Harmon. Weak-ish at Run D and good a cover, punching and play D, but not great at the picks.

Here’s the 2nd CB on the board, Carr. His bars are a bit better and his picks are too. Good stuff Carr!

Actually, after looking at Battaglia he’s not as good as these, so I really have two options. Do I go them? Or a position of more need like OG/OT or LB.

This is a weak O Line draft. I can’t force a bad pick.

I grab Carr with the better bars and the BAP.

2.30 – Is WR Manuel Robinson still on the board? He was falling… yup? I grab him!

3.30 – Is WLB Jimmie Ingram still on the board? I snag him.

4.30 – Is MLB Kai Fowler on the board? I also snag him as well.

5.30 – Hm…. I don’t know. Do I draft the stud P and then see if he just booms a bit? I need a better P and this guy is an improvement. Nope, too unlikely to happen. I draft the BAP O Line – OT Bryan Davison.

6.30 – DE Alfred Oliver? Okay. He looks like a grower.

7.30 – Again not sure…BAP is a MLB but I’ve already invested two LB picks this draft. I take the top non-LB or K/P on the board – TE Newton Lindsay. He also looks like a grower.

I move Carr to SS.

Rookie Lookie #1

1.30 – SS Colin Carr, Brigham Young, 25/73
2.30 – WR Manuel Robinson, San Diego State, 33/63
3.30 – SLB Jimmie Ingram, Southeast Missouri St, 37/60
4.30 - MLB Kai Fowler, Liberty, 25/65
5.30 – OT Bryan Davison, USC, 10/45
6.30 – DE Alfred Oliver, Texas – Kingsville, 28/44
7.30 – TE Newton Lindsay, Virginia, 26/38

There you are!!!!

The 2069 NFL Preseason

I hand out a ton of deactives and create my depth chart

I will be starting both of my rookie LBs, WR Robinson, and Carr.

I cut CB Lopes to give him time to find a replacement before he drops

Week 2 – Indy – We win 24-6

Week 3 – At Cleveland – We lose 13-20

Week 4 – At Augusta – We win 27-13

Week 5 – Pittsburgh – We win 20-3

We are 3-1

We come out with two doubtfuls, one Andersen and the other a backup.

Rookie Lookie #3

1.30 – SS Colin Carr, Brigham Young, 25/73; 33/73; 34/76
2.30 – WR Manuel Robinson, San Diego State, 33/63; 38/66/; 71
3.30 – SLB Jimmie Ingram, Southeast Missouri St, 37/60; 45/61; 49/69
4.30 - MLB Kai Fowler, Liberty, 25/65; 30/66; 33/68
5.30 – OT Bryan Davison, USC, 10/45; 13/44; 13/39
6.30 – DE Alfred Oliver, Texas – Kingsville, 28/44; 31/46; 34/48
7.30 – TE Newton Lindsay, Virginia, 26/38; 28/40; 29/43

Nice boom with Carr. Wow, hello Robinson! This is the first time in this dynasty that I’ve had two stud 70+ pot WRs at the same time! If we can get you to play like that? Nasty!

Ingram also boomed, which is pretty good, and looks solid. Fowler a bit as well although Kai is a bit…hot and cold whereas Ingram is more consistent. Davison dropped a lot, whereas I was hoping he’d grow. Oliver grew a little more although I was hoping for more from him. Ditto Lindsay.

UFAs

P Bruce McNaught, 46/66; 44/50 - CUT
TE Francisco Barton, 20/49; 22/46; 22/40
C Vinny Holz, 15/55; 19/54; 21/57
DE Willie Sinclair, 13/54; 18/53; 19/50

Holz grew a bit. None of the others did…

I cut these players

OT Bryan Davison
TE Francisco Barton
TE Carson Porter
SILB Roy Marshall
MLB Keith Ellis
Cb Alexis Eastman

Alrighty!

Extensions?

One Year Left

None

Two Years Left

Skudris wants 178 mill for 4 years. Not long enough

LB Hudson dropped to 68/68 and wants 134 mill over 5 years. No thanks too pricey for a guy who’s not hitting the mark.

CB Kristosik wants 97 mill, 4 years. Not good enough in picks.

None for now.

Wanna see some rookies?

Here’s Carr all grown up! He’s good everywhere and great in multiple places. He looks sexy….but will he play it? For the last two years none of my many studs have played like it save for FB Rose…

Here’s my other 70+ stud in the draft, FL Robinson a shower I drafted with good bars who actually grew! Nice! Note that Robinson is a stud at KR and is my primary KR and takes that roll from my 5th WR Cathay. This dude is well rounded everywhere with his worst a solid 48 adjust to ball, and his best a studly 89 route running. Good stuff! And a great 2.30 pickup!

Here’s my 3.30 pickup Ingram, who also boomed in the preseason and camp! As you can see, he’s not great, and not bad, but just…fine. I like Ingram a lot as a future potential starter for my club and he’ll start for me in the middle as my SILB as well as in the middle in 3 LB formations.

I’ll show you Kai as well…

As you can see, Fowler is really bad at pass rush tech and just okay at bump and run. This inconsistency was why I grabbed him at 4.30. Although Kai is pretty good at other stuff. I am starting Fowler at WILB and in the middle in all 4 LB formations.

Nice stuff!

On The Green Page? Just Robinson…

Rookie Investigation

QB – We have a 53/79 and a 24/57 and that….is it!

RB – 1 60s, 3 50s, and that’s it as well

FB – 1 60, 4 50s, and that’s it – there were more FBs at 50+ than RBs!

TE – 2 at 60 pot, 5 in the 50s

WR – Robinson was the 2nd best WR in the draft by pot, there was a 74 guy and then 4 in the 60s and 8 50s. It was a deeper WR draft which may have been how Robinson fell.

OC – 79 and 76 in the 1st round, and then…nothing…3 in the lower 50s.. Volz was the 3rd best C in the draft

OG – 1 76, 8 50s. Bottom heavy and light for a position group usually bigger than that.

OT – 3 70s taken before us at the 1.30, 4 60s, 2 50s.

D Line – 1 89, 1 76, 6 60s, 6 50s as well. Pretty stable. Sinclair was the lowest possible DE in this list with 50 pot.

LB – 73 – Ingram is 2nd most and Fowler is 3rd most, 2 more in 60s, 6 in 50s. Not the deepest draft I’ve seen at LB but we did well enough.

DB – Carr? At 76 pot? Was the 5th best DB in this deep draft. 3 in the 80s, 3 in the 70s, 3 in 60s, 8 in 50s.

Good stuff!

League Awards

League MVP – QB Carson Maumau
Off. Player of the Year – QB Carson Maumau

All Pro 1st Team

QB Carson Maumau

All Pro 2nd Team

DE Rondell Dorn

That’s Maumau’s first All Pro…and Dorn’s obviously. 13-3 and still no All Pros outside of just two. This dynasty feels like the Jets with big wins but few awards and we only had 3 Hall of Fame – Tony Rhem, Kirk Barber and SLB Bruce Norton… will that happen here as well?
