Tuggs ends up taking the Purdue job. The Fresno State job was prob the safer bet, and should be good next year, but hopefully we can get the time to turn this thing around at a school in a big time conf.

Tuggy has some big choices up now with a new staff. His old staff has followed him for each job he has gone. All loyal and true. However he knows they cant hang with the big boys and needs to upgrade in order to be able to survive at the new level.

He fires the lead scout first and the recruiting coordinator will be next depending on the money situation.

Tuggs ends up replacing all three assistants

Gillium comes over from BYU and comes off of back to back sweet 16 trips. Hoping he can bring that recruiting prowless with him.

Sepulveda comes from Nebraska where he has been for the past 6 years. Didn't have a lot of success over there, but isn't costing me a ton for his rating, so hopefully he can improve on tuggys staff

Irvin comes from Notre Dame where he was on some winning teams but the Irish have fallen down lately. I like how much he is costing tuggy, very budget friendly, however he isn't the long term solution in that position. Tuggy needs better.

im hoping by skimping on money with the coaching staff, tuggy and his assistants can bring in some diamond in the rough guys and we can slowly build up this cruddy roster up. The wider the net of recruits the better the chance of getting ok to decent guys. Not what Purdue has been used to.

tuggy tried to get 2 tranfers but they decided to go elsewhere. We are going to use those 2 schollys to go after freshman and bump the class up to 4 new guys coming in this year.

As far as expectations. We have none. I just hope to not finish last this year in the BIG. It would be nice to start out on the right foot with the AD

HAAAAAAAA

We go 7-24 and 2-16 in the conf and end the season on a 10 game losing streak. All good for last place. Sigh... Ohh well right.

We have a junior PF who was selected 2nd team all conf.

Going for small victories here.

We do however have a huge bright spot, and it looks like the money saved on the coaching staff has paid off on the recruiting trail. The 23rd best class in the nation and 3rd best in the Big 10 is a huge step in the correct direction.

Tuggy is hopeful and excited to get on the trail for next year

We only have 1 scholly to offer this season.

We balance our roster out by redshirting 2 freshman.

Here is a look at what we look like this year.

Not expecting much this year, but I do expect to win a bit more than we did last year. 2 wins in the BIG just wont due. Hoping for 6-8 wins this year in the BIG and another good freshman.

Another terrible season. We go 7-24 and 3-15 in the BIG. We finish up the season just like last year, on a 10 game losing streak.

Having Jeff Mckeen miss the 2nd half of the season didn't help. Kid needs to get to study halls more!

C- Thaddus Reeve makes the Freshman team. He averaged 8 boards a game this year.

We get a good freshman in Robbin Redman. Ranked 222 but he will be much better than that.

Freaking Camiello transfers out. He was a nice get in our class last year who I redshirted. That is really really going to hurt this rebuild. Tuggy is beyond pissed.

We have 5 schollys to give this year as there was no transfers out there that would have helped us. This imbalance will catch up to us pretty quickly.

Thinking that this wont be a good year again. I see the CPU starting 2 sophmores and potentially a freshman...... So ya.... should be another long long year im guessing.

We finish 10-22 and 4-14 in the conf. Another last place finish. I'm sure the ad is going to start getting frustrated with me. He only gave the previous coach 4 years before canning him so I don't think tuggy has a lot of wiggle room here. this freshman class is going to be key here

Well Tuggy is really trying out there working hard for these recruits.

#26 in the nation . That's good for 5th in the BIG though. Goodness. 2 Big 10 teams in the top 5 and 3 teams in the top 12. Ya this conf is rough.

Hopefully the AD sees that these classes coming in will eventually change things here. Tuggy just needs some time for them to develop

Tuggy adds a freshman redshirt SG as a transfer. Nothing special, just more depth for the bench.

The AD is still ok with where we are currently and we aren't in the danger zone. I think those recruiting rankings are saving tuggy bear at the moment.

We are hoping that with our inside game this year we take that step up and is the year that we finally don't finish in last place. It's what we want, but is it realistic???

Let's go find out

Good news. The AD thinks its time for a facility upgrade, so there is that.

Another good class for us. Not top 25, but good enough to help get us out of this black hole of last place that never seems to be ending.

We have 4 schollys to hand out this year. So our roster is finally balanced. Not the exact way we would like but balanced enough.

This is the make or break year for Tuggy bear and Purdue. Everybody on the roster is Tuggy's and there cant be any blame put anywhere but him. This has to be the year we climb out of the hole right????

I feel ok with our starters and our bench here. We are only 8 deep but that should be enough......

Well we finally did it. lol 2nd to last place.

We finished up 13-17 and 5-13 in the BIG

Still no where in the area of what we wanted, but to not finish in last after doing so 4 straight years feels ok

James Thrasher who was a first team selection was selected 52nd overall. First guy to be drafted, so that's a neat thing for the program.

Not another bad class. We just need to keep rolling like this to complete the transition up the charts here.

48th in the country which is good for 5th in the Big. Not going to complain here at all.

Slow and steady wins the race I guess.

We land a Freshmand Redshirt transfer from VCU. ranked 275. I am hoping he can have an impact for us this season.

That will leave us 2 schollys to hand out on the recruiting trail.

So I had expectations to be in the middle of the pack this year in the big. I think we had the depth to do it. However idiots need to stop getting suspended like warner just did in order to accomplish that.

We had depth, not now.

Just hoping for another finish above last place

Well this has been a real interesting year. Our best yet. We are right at the conf tourney and here is where we sit.

Last week we were on the bubble list and the prediction was out. maybe after a few wins in the conf tourney that might just push us in. That freaking one loss to that 200+ team is killing us. We have beat Michigan State and Illinois this year. We split. So we can play with the big boys. Our 4 wins against the top 50 are better than both Wisc and Iowa who are projected as in. We need a good tourney push here and we have the ability to do it.

Either way this has been a great season for us

We beat Ohio state in the first round, but lost to Wisc in the 2nd. That was the damn win we needed. Wis swept us all year. They just had our number which sucks..... Let's see where we land

Tuggy and the team watch the selection show but to no avail. We get selected at the 5th seed in the NIT.

A win for us would be a good showing.

we beat UTEP in the first game and then get crushed by Kent State in the 2nd round.

Im excited about where this team could be heading

We finish up 19-14 and 10-8 in conf.

We have a first team all BIG and a 2nd team all BIG

Our transfer that we landed pick up a all freshman team award.

Now lets see how the recruiting went this year

So some context. Before this past season Purdue had not made any type of tourney in 13 years. Their best year was a 24 win season and a sweet 16 finish. It doesn't look like we are that far behind that. Not bad work for Tuggy Bear and the turn around job he has done here

We land the 36th class in the nation. Good for 7th in the BIG, however that would have been higher if we would have had a 3rd recruit. Both guys were 4 stars. So again liking where this ship is heading.

This conf is killer though. Look at those rankings for the BIG. 6 teams in the top 20 and 2 in the top 5 and 3 in the top 10. Just nutty here.

Its real hard to compete with that.

We have a staff retirement in Irvin, our coaching assistant, and our lead scout wants a raise.

not sure what tuggy is going to do. Our recruiting has been working out real well by skimping on the coaching salaries. If upping that and brining in a high caliber coach hurts that, tuggy would kick himself for years.....

Almost forgot. Our Ad rewarded us with another facility upgrade

In the end I hedged and put 90k into my coaching assistant. more money there, but still should have enough in the recruiting to continue what we have been doing

Didn't redshirt anybody and boy do I think we should be ok this year.

Nice balance on the roster. Hoping to make the tourney this year.

Our future looks pretty damn good. Both freshman bigs should start this year and with the guards already on the squad. Really hoping we can do some damage.

Well that didn't go as expected at all

We finish the season at 12-19 and 6-12 in conf. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3r to last in conf and that is not the step forward I was hoping and expecting. Guess that was my fault for placing too much hope on 2 freshman in the paint.

13th ranked class in the nation and 2nd in the BIG. Tuggy needs to get his stuff together to make a good run here shortly

The AD is getting mad at me and the seat is now warm. He wants to play in the post season, and he wants it now. I get it, I really do, but now is not the time to be pulling this crap. The heat is on, and we need to have a good year this year. Hopefully everybody takes a nice step forward in training camp this year

we have 3 schollys to give out this year

Our squad isn't bad, but we aren't where I would like to be either. We have some players, and the talent is there, we just haven't developed that talent. That is directly due to our coaching staff, and tuggy not winning enough to develop his skill set too.

I do think we can get to the NIT though, and im hoping we can pull through. I think in a year or 2 we will be where we want to be and Tuggs needs to be the guy to be coaching it

I honestly don't even know what the hell happened. That has to be the most under performing squad I have EVER had in FBCB and im talking about thousands and thousands of hours here into this game.

I literally haven't seen anything like that before

28th in the nation and good for 5th in the BIG. Might be the saving grace. The AD is still at warm, so I might get the chance I need here.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

Tuggy Bear gets another year, and the AD doesn't even have us in the danger zone yet, but goodness. This squad needs to do better. Tuggy needs to do much better before he gets run right out the door

We have 3 schoolys to offer out in recruiting this year.

This is what we look like. After last years debacle I honestly have no idea what to expect. I think we should be good, but who the heck knows now.

Some greens and blues in there and we should have some depth.
