This race was really tight for the first fuel run, but after that it was all PB and me in a rout. I almost had the lil bastard too, one more lap and I'd have snatched it right out from under his ugly purple ford

Bug, poli, select a car number from the list on page 1 (I have a skittles Pontiac #36 if you want that bug)
You guys will get in on season #2. I'm going to hold off on adding or remiving anyone for between seasons as its a pain in the tookas to get everything set right in the sim. (and it adds dead weight data to all the results) So hang in there for another 11 race Anyone else wanting to join in Season 2 post the car you want from the list on page 1. I will try to add possible cars to that list as time allows. -- Thanks for the compliment on the write ups, This last race was really a barn burner, literally one more lap and I would have passed you PB! As for your car being ugly from behind, check out Race #3, its just as ugly from the FRONT MUHahahahaha |

One Third of the season is done.
"Tires, Tires is what wins the race..." Most people can quote Days of Thunder fairly easily, but today it wasn't tires that won the race, it was fuel mileage. All day long it was PB, RendeR, cmp, and packerfanatic fighting for the lead. cmp led most of the time and then faded late. RendeR could never get around a car once he caught them or he might have run away with this. His car simply couldn't make a pass stick. After the first pit stop it was the same group literally single file for most of the laps and then cmp would slip and the other three would fight like cats and dogs to gain supremacy. but today it wouldn't matter. BYU14, damnmikebrown and CoffeeWarlord along with Burton all gambled that their cars had enough gas to get to the end. It looked like another PB and RendeR finish if those cars finally pitted and cmp did his normal fade away at the end of a run, but lo and behold their fuel held out and the big boys had to settle for a mid-pack finish. Winner of the Las Vegas Race: BYU14!!! Results of Las Vegas Race #5 of 15 Standings after Race #5 of 15 Experience Point earnings/Losses after Race #5. BYU14 +21 (Winner, Outside pole, pos Gain, Laps led) cmp +18 (Pole, Top 10, Laps Led, Pos Lost) CoffeeWarlord +15 (Pos gain, Top 5) Damnmikebrown +9 (Pos gain, Top 5) PurdueBrad +7 (Pos gain, Top 5) Cubboyroy +7 (Pos Lost, Top 10, Laps led) SirFozzie +5 (Pos Gain, Top 10) RendeR +4 (Pos Lost, Laps Lead, Top 10) Travis +1 (Lead Lap Finish) PackerFanatic -0- (Pos Lost, Top 10) Points will be allocated via random.org prior to the next race.[/quote] |

Nice thread you got going here RendeR.
Quick question, where did you edit the scores for the cars and stats for the drivers in the game? Is there an .ini file? Also, I'll take #18 for next season if you don't mind. Last edited by ozias : 11-18-2008 at 07:35 PM. |

THe stats are accesible from the opponent manager screen, select the car, then click ratings and edit them to what you want/need for your simulation.
For this I had every car identical to start and have been updating them based on performance after each race. |

I assume it's too late, but if a spot opens up next season or something, I would love to be in. I will try to keep an eye on the thread until then, but I rarely venture out of Off Topic.
(#16, for future reference -- if I do get a spot, let me know if I have some options on sponsor)

"I Robot"
It was a long boring race at bristol. Boring you say? Indeed Boring. The robot driver Stirling Burton stunk up the show by leading all 125 laps and taking the win in easy fashion. A number of FOFC drivers vied for the lead but no one could manage to pass the #4 Kodak Chevrolet. Winner of the Bristol Event: Stirling Burton!!! Results of Las Vegas Race #6 of 15 Standings after Race #6 of 15 Experience Point earnings/Losses after Race #6. Coming soon Points will be allocated via random.org prior to the next race. |
