OT- Custom Computer AND Financing?
I've been looking all over and except for sony, dell & gateway I can't find anyplace else that offers you the ability to customize your computer and provides financing. I desperatly want a new comp for christmas but paying full price at this point is beyond my means.
There are many sites that allow quality customization and many sites that offer financing but never the two shall meet it seems. Does anyone know anyplace besides the sites ive listed that offer customizing and financing? |

I took a look and I actually am happier with what I saw there then I have been any other place, I plan to have the cash in a few months (he said as his credit went down the drain) so an extra couple of hundred dollars doesn't turn me off, especially if i can get close to what I want. Thanks for the info Snow, appreciate it.

Hmmm.. if your credit is good enough to get custom financing from a computer shop - shouldn't it be good enough to get a fairly low introductory-rate credit card, with which you could buy the computer anyway? Lots of placs out there are offering 0% or at least below 5% interest for a limited time... if you say you can pay it off in a few months that ought to work, no?
(Spider sense tells me there's more ot the story here) |

No problem, Suicane. Quicksand has a good point, even a low interest personal loan would probly be better. I bet you could get 5k, unsecured for around 5% these days. Can't hurt to explore all your options.

I've purshased a customized Compaq machine at Best Buy in the past. I am not sure what brands they currently allow purchases of 'customized' machines from, if they do it at all. Probably depends on the store you go to. When I did this there was a system builder kiosk in the cumputer department.
Right now they offer 18 months 'no interest' financing on all computers. There is a catch (as with most XX months interest free offers I have used) in that if the charge is not paid off at the end of the term, they charge you interest from the date of purchase. It is only wise to use this offer if you know you will pay it off in 18 months.
