Thumbs up Mario Brothers Flash Cartoons

Ok, these things are frigging awesome. The 2nd one is especially great. Love the music, and the use of some Requiem for a Dream soundtrack.

Well worth a watch. Guy did a good job on these.

I can't watch these at work, but are these the three that are like a prequel to Super Mario Brothers? I watched those a while back....extremely good.

wow, these really are excellent. I feel like they need to make this game right now. All the mario fans would love it.

It's supposed to be a 5 part series, and he's working on #4 now. So it's going, but I imagine it takes him a while to do these.

The soundtrack really makes this. He did a great job with that. If you look at the first two links you can check out some of the guys' sketches also. He's quite the artist also.

I'm not doing a parody thread, but if I did, it would probably read something like:

"Marino bothers Flash Gordon"

One man's waste of time is another man's art. And vice versa, of course.

Dude, how can you call that a waste of time? The charge in the 2nd one with the Requiem music is ridiculously good for a nintendo-graphic presentation.

Anyone have a link that works for the first few? I can't seem to find them.

I will grant you that one sequence in that one episode was pretty cool. All the rest was just too boring and slow moving for my taste. I kept wishing he'd get to the point. I mean, I don't need three minutes of watching mushroom-boy run through marioland, ok? I get it.

Here's a similar one. It's faster paced.

Edit: He has some annoying download popup on his site...
