The hostage situation of the 5 year old boy in Midland City, Al is over. He is free and the kidnapper is dead.

I was listening to the press conference given by the FBI, sherriff and other law enforcement officers. According to what they said, talks had been deteriorating in the last day. The Kidnapper, Jimmie Lee Dykes was seen with a gun. It was believed the child was in imminent danger. So authorities went in and got the child.
