UTEP put down a fiesty SMU team. They made some great play on both Offense and Defense to stay close in the first half. They knocked out QB Tye McCauley for a few weeks. We face Alabama with our only active backup. We may have to pull a red shirt off one of the Freshmen.

I'm... not... dead...

Just been working a different schedule, my sleep pattern gets messed up when this happens and I end up spending most of my time trying to get that adjusted while handling other responsibilities around the house.. I'll probably get my games in soon and get this advanced.

Not happy with the way we closed this game out.

We let SJSU back into the game a couple of times and then had to step it up to win it.

I lost a starting G to a concussion (First time I have ever lost an OL in the game) and the spot he vacated became a flood gate for the defense.

Anyways, we ended up winning, not happy about the way we won...shootout, had to score over 50 points etc...

We beat #10 USC.

Bottom line this team isnt very good. We lack playmakers at WR and our best player is a RB without homerun or even triple speed.

Our defense is atrocious outside of a freshman CB who is a blitzing machine but cant cover.

We went to the BU QB after our starter started the game 3-11 with 2 INTS.
The Freshman started hot and did play well but we have to deep dive into our roster and figure out how to shuffle things up.

We returned the opening kickoff for a TD at Nebraska, and never led by less than 7. Final score was 31-17, or something like that.

We're on to week 7, everyone. Played my week 6 and week 7 games last night..

In the week 6 game we scrapped our way to a close win over number 2 Miami, then in the following week we kind of had a breakout game and buried Texas A&M by about 40 points. The defense seemed to wake up a bit and the offense just plain caught on fire.

My team sucks this season. Had TWO fumbles returned for TDs against me.

We took down Oklahoma State with a strong first half performance but we let them move the ball a bit in the second half. They never made it close, but they scored more than I like.

Big day on the ground for RB Summers with close to 200 yards and 4 TD, and TE Mueller ended up having about 200 yards receiving because they didn't cover him the whole game.

Ohio State beat us down worse than any CPU beat down Ive ever experienced.
It was a 10 point loss AFTER I scored a garbage TD as time expired and it wasnt that close.

Coming into this game my dominant Defense had allowed 248 yards rushing ALL SEASON. We allowed over 300 today if you dont correct for sacks.

My QB was sacked 6 times. He fumbled twice. WR dropped 3 passes but they were all critical. 2 4th down conversions and a TD.

Probably the epitome of the game came late in the 4th quarter. OSU had the ball up 20 and running out the clock. On 3rd and 10 I called a middle run blitz. 2 LB are in the backfield before RB Pennington is handed the ball. He stiff armed one to the ground like a KO punch. Then did 2 spin moves back to back to escape the other would be tackler. Then he bowled over the DE who attempted to tackle him and scampered 50 yards for a TD. Dragging a Safety the final 8 yards.

Game over we lose.

Some games, the CPU really seems to have extra juice, for sure. I don't know if that's part of the "hot streak" game mechanic, but I would wager that it could have something to do with it. There are also those games where they just suck and you beat them easily with a clearly weaker team.

UTEP beat Texas. It was a tough game, where Texas kept driving with incredible 3rd and 4th down conversions. I think they punted once, which was the difference.

That was unexpected. Texas State got a 34-23 win over the vastly superior OU team. My running game was on, and I chewed up the clock in the 2nd half.

Sorry it took so long, life has interfered.

Game complete, we lost, 69 - 59 to a Cal team. He had a DB that picked me off 4 times and was a tank..as was his QB.

Had a defensive battle with Okie State. I took the lead with a late 50 yard FG. There was enough time for them to get down the field and try a long FG of their own, which they missed with 3 seconds left in the game.

Georgia Tech kicked our ass all over the field in the first half, as their QB Williams ran for 4 TDs before the break. We started the second half in a 31-7 hole, but we scapped and clawed our way back into it. We tied things up at 31-31 with 2:25 to go on a 41-yard Richards field goal that doinked off of the upright and went through. We held the Georgia Tech offense to a three-and-out, and took advantage of good field position to set up a 23-yard game winning Richards field goal with 1 second left to survive a real scare, 41-38.

We're on to week 11, and my struggles continue with this team. Some days the defense just can't get off the field, and in agonizing fashion that was the case this week. 3 plays, 10 yards, repeat. That was the Alabama offense.

VT got all they bargained for and then some as we ran them out of the building./

Weird game. Early they had me on edge with a very aggressive Defense and an unstoppable RB who was gashing me for 10+ ypc. A couple fumbles by them in the redzone and the route was on.

Their aggressive D recorded a bunch of TFL and gave up a bunch of big plays.

Next.

Recruiting is done and it's a BYE week. I didn't realize I am building a somewhat decent squad already on the offensive side with recruits, now to solidify some talent on defense and I will be happy.
