Also I'm glad to see some active posters in this game. I know that I will likely have a lower post count than in the last game because I am more likely to edit in a thought which occurs to me immediately after posting rather than posting a dola. This post being the exception.

That actually makes me feel good about ntn, early run of posts. I would think he wouldn't want to draw that kind of early attention as a wolf (with the exception being the cunning, but I probably need to read the rules to see if there are normal wolf type roles this game).

Of course I could just be over analyzing already in the game.

Yeah that is the one catch to the severe mindf*ck I dropped in that game, it was all for naught.

Good times though!

I hope you don't edit anything too important into a post as if I already read it once I am unlikely to go back and read it again unless I'm either

1. Completely confused.

or

2. Trying to make a case for/against you.

So I would encourage you not to edit important details into posts.

Is ntndeacon really being that talkative though? As someone who rarely plays, I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary with him.

It doesn't make me feel good or bad about him. ntn, especially lately I believe has seen a lot of early votes. He may be trying to be more talkative to avoid that. He would want to avoid that as a villager or wolf, so I don't see it as meaning much at this point.

I don't think there's much that anyone does on day1 that would really say if they're a wolf or not. I think it's just dumb luck if we manage to nab a wolf, and then try to find reasons why we were so smart after the fact.

This except I think it's really dumb luck because wolves can more easily not vote for wolves on Day 1.

I think the key is at least having enough votes spread out that you have one on the block late in the day. Sure you probably aren't going to win that battle on day 1, but the voting history and who moves when and where is absolutely invaluable down the road.

Which is the only reason it drives me nuts when we have a couple of candidates on day 1 and everyone jumps all over them because they are overanalyzing things. But we seem to be doing a really nice job of avoiding that this time.

I also reread the rules and this will be a tough one at the start because we have no information regarding anything.

I remember in one of the games I was a wolf in that late vote swings when there is little vote movement can be a good thing for the villagers. I think the logic of the person who led the charge against a wolf late on day one was that when the vote is static late on day one it means it's unlikely a wolf is in danger.

I was more refering to the "why'd you vote XXX" questions that come up day1. Noone is going to have a good reason to vote for someone. Some people don't get votes simply because they haven't played in a while, died early a lot recently, or are thought of as a good villager, or various reasons.

I definately think there is a lot to be learned by voting records for day1, just like every other day (that's not a runaway that is).

Yeah, I think it really depends, but personally I move much more around deadlines as a villager. As a wolf, especially early in the game, it's not worth it to risk saving your buddy for a day and likely link the two of you together. Especially when there is a seer out there who can scan said buddy.

Good point. I was going to place a third vote on EagleFan for his ntnlogic, but that seems dumb to hold that against him.

Vote Thomkal

For being the ring leader in the other tribe and making it to the final three in Autumn's Survivor game.

I do think there is logic to this which is why I've generally tried to standardize my play in terms of my willingness to switch as either a villager or wolf. So, in other words, read nothing into my play, but for other people I think this is true.

hey guys, just checking in to let you know I likely won't be posting till late afternoon as I have a lot on my plate right now. (and no JAG that doesn't mean playing my character in the current Crawl comp. )

And Racer, the game already got the ultimate revenge on me, I really thought I had a great chance of winning till that Final Council came along...
