Some of them looked like 6/12 elbows too. That's what got Jon Jones DQed against Matt Hamill. I was surprised nothing was said, unless I saw it wrong.

Fun show tonight. I'm not much of a Dollaway fan, but he fought his ass off.

Nothing ticks me of more than the refs letting stuff go because its not obvious. For example, hitting in the back of the head.

Couple thoughts last night:

Silva's KO was probably the best thing I've seen in MMA in over a year.

The Co-main sucked.

The main event was only good because Edgar kept coming forward. Out side of the first 10 minutes Aldo barely came forward, and threw half as many punches. I saw it how Joe saw it, and I was really surprised when 2 of the judges saw it 49-46 the other way.

dola

and one more thing.

Overeem losing likely sets up an Overeem/JDS fight which would be really entertaining. Overeem's physique was very different last night. It didn't effect his fighting, but he was noticeably different.

This, no way in hell it is 49-46, as they mentioned, Las Vegas judges suck. I can see a 48-47 decision for Aldo, 3rd was close, but you can make a good case for Aldo winning it. Sure to see a rematch here.

The co-main was absolutely horrible.......

I didn't watch the shown last night, but the live blog I was following scored it 48-47 Aldo live.

I had Aldo winning by 1. In the co-main, what was Rashad doing? He hardly committed at all, which allowed Nogueira to simply pick him apart with the jab. Definitely pleased seeing Overeem getting knocked the f out. Poetic justice!

I actually though Edgar had it 48-47 but I really didn't watch round 3 as close as I should have and that was the swing round. Regardless, I think it was a 48-47 fight one way or the other and can't believe two guys had it 49-46.

Watched the fights at our usual place, I've never heard the place goes as crazy as when Bigfoot ko'd Overeem. That was worth the price of admission and for the last few cards as well.

It doesn't get any better than the babyface underdog knocking out the favored heel.

I'm not even sure how Overeem became such a star. He was a middling light heavyweight, then in his late 20s he suddenly gains 30 pounds of muscle and beats mostly tomato can heavyweights for a while Then he gets caught cheating 1 fight into his UFC deal, but somehow is still recognized as the winner of that fight (what's up with that?)

Sorry about the audio "enhancement" but I've had fun watching this a few times anyway and it's the only one up on youtube in this quality.

Cyborg pussies out because she knows she can't beat Ronda when clean.

I wouldnt go that far. I dont think either fighter has faced an opponent that presents the challenges that they would give each other. I agree that Cyborg has concerns about maintaining her strength advantage if she drops to Rousey's weight class, clean or not (has a female ever been given an exemption for testosterone replacement therapy?).

TBF, Cyborg would have to cut an extreme amount of weight to get down to 135 even after she stops gassing. Rousey is getting a pass in all this because people know Cyborg juiced but it really isn't fair to expect her to cut that much weight. People want the fight because it's the two biggest female attractions but the natural weights are insanely different.

This and Dana knows that as big as this fight is he could make it a catchweight fight. This would be the biggest tests for both ladies and scary as Rousey's submission game is, she has never faced a fighter as strong and relentelss as Cyborg (even without juicing).

This would/will be a great fight if it ever happens and it is pretty much a toss up IMO.

Dana went down so far in men's weight classes that they actually have a weight class with only 12 fighters in it.

What the hell is stopping him from giving Cyborg a weight class? Either the women are fighters or they are sideshows. If they are fighters give them weight classes and fights.

Uriah Faber looked slick. Great finish, dominant elbows.

Yeah BYU, that looked painful. I think the dude was in tears after the fight, and I don't think it was because he lost.

Pretty solid main event

Spoiler

Also Henderson and Machida's styles don't mesh well at all and that fight was about what I expected, horrible.

I was seriously hoping for a second round. That was a good first round. Seeing the two of them during the Primetime show I started hoping that Carmouche was going to win. She seemed much more likeable and down to earth.

I was rooting for Carmouche too, very humble and tough as nails. I may be in the minority, but Rousey's schtick is starting to get a bit old with me.

She is a badass for sure, but she is starting to make Chael Sonnen's personality look like Benson Henderson's. But of course Dana will continue to encourage her since hot and controversial just boost the drawing power that already comes with her exceptional skills.

Was definitely a solid fight while it lasted.

Damn, that's exactly how I feel. I mean, she's good no doubt, and she is dominant, but mostly due to the talent pool not being very deep. Sort of like if the dominant fighters of old. The fights will get anti-climactic really quick. I think Carmouche was what 40-1 last night? And that was the best fighter that the UFC could offer up? Rousey will hold the title for a little while, but until the competition comes up to her level is going to be an overplayed reign.

That was kind of a punk move. Guy was down and out and the ref had even bear hugged the fighter yet he throws another hammer fist.

If you saw him in The Ultimate Fighter you would see it's not a stretch for Dillashaw. Pretty much how he is (punk).
