PokerStars: Private Tourney?

Has anyone else notice the Private tab under the Tourney section? There are no instructions that I can see, on how to set up a private tournament. Do any other sites offer private tourneys?

some other site (Absolute Poker?) has been saying they're "coming" for a while.

If Party has them, that would make for a truly excellent FOFC Poker night once in a while.

I e-mailed them a while back about that one and they also said "it's coming". I think all the poker sites have had private tourneys "on the way" for a long time.

Looks like I've been given the option to create private tourneys after submitting a request through PokerStars.

Buy-ins range from $10-$500 + rake. You can set your own date/time and password. Pretty simple.

So... anyone interested in the first official FOFC Poker Tournament?

Does anyone have party poker? I would be interested, but am not a big fan of the firepay options these companies have. Some Indian lady called me at like 1 in the morning after I signed up for party poker.

"Who was that?"
"Uh, just some lady from India verifying my credit card information for an online gambling account."

I think it also has to be for some money. Maybe only $5 no-limit or $0.50/$1 limit. There really is a vast difference between fake money and real money.

We're talking about a real money tournament. 10 dollar buy in with the top 3 spots paying out.

Does Pokerstars have a legit company to fund your account through? Is there any promotion for opening an account?

right, but that was my problem with fire-visa or whatever the hell I used for my partypoker account. What is the most recognized option on poker stars? I long for the days when MBNA America didn't care what I did with my credit card. If I wanted to spend $300 for ACME product while in Vegas what did they care?

I've never had a problem with Neteller for depositing (although it did take 5 days for the funds transfer from my bank to clear).

I think stars is one of the few sites that don't have a sign-up bonus currently.

I'm definately interested in a private tournament if we can organize it.

I have never had any problems with neteller.

As soon as i'm done with my recent bonus on partypoker, I plan on moving some money to stars, and would be interested in a small private tournament also.

I don't think pokerstars does signup bonuses. A few times a year they do a bonus though for any normal deposit.
