FOF2004...Players becoming coaches
Has anyone seen one of thier star players, or a star player from another team(s), go on to become a coach yet?
In the year 2028 i have seen about 6 or so former players become coaches, but they are all scrubs, if that. The first guy i saw played one year and got into one game as a RB, but damn did he get some great ratings for a 34 year old coach. His defense coaching abilities sucked, all poor. His offense was ok, good for 34yo, but his head coaching abilities were real good. He is now 44yo, and his ratings are: Motivation: Excellent Discipline: Exellent O Playcalling:Good (i thought this one was odd, being a RB) D Playcalling: Excellent Injury Avoidance: Excellent His record is 77-86-1 (several years with a BAD Buffalo team as his first job) and has recently won his first Front Office Bowl. The other former players i have seen have had more playing time, but not as good as ratings. I was wondering if this will be the "norm" or if any of you have seen stars go on to be good coaches?

Hmm...i haven't seen anyone from the original player file become a coach in my dynasty either. I really like this new addition to the game, i just wish the coaches had histories so i could look back on thier coaching careers.

Is there any kind of identifying mark so you know which coaches are former players (since I presume you can't see their career stats)? Or do you basically just have to notice the names?

It really would be nice if Jim could add a link from their coach profile to their player card. |

The coaches do have histories. Just click on the blue text on their card -- I think where it says experience. |

Deion Sanders coaches the Bears in mine and he's a heck of a disciplinarian and motivator E and E respectively.
