OK, I like the bill as it stands.

I think it is a bad idea for anyone to know who the BG is just in case.

I am fine with all the nominations for pres, etc...

VOTE KWIT AS DEM LEADER

That's what I think, but as a centrist district of course I'd say that.

It may hurt you locally to support a heavily repub bill (seer bill). However, we do need the bill to pass to fight the wolves. If you picked popular you should be able to absorb the hit (i think, from the rules) but if you are going powerful then you might want to think about your vote and how it will affect your local election. Nobody is any good to us if you aren't reelected

We should use some or our support power on our presidential nominee, I would guess.

We want it to pass, certainly. But as long as Chubby and the GOP members vote for it, it will. You, me and the others on the liberal end of the spectrum should oppose it to make our constituents happy and help our re-election efforts.

There is no reason to hurt your own popularity to add your vote to a bill that is already passing. Whether it passes with 10 votes or 18 is academic. For the good of yourself and your party, make sure you get reelected.

This is a case where you can have the cake (a Seer) and eat it (reelection), too.

Welcome to Washington

Oh I agree with you.

I'm just saying that it's going to look bad if you vote no on a bill that doesn't pass that us non-wolves need to pass.

Obvioulsy we need to get reelected but we need to get rid of the Wolf Party as well.

so do I need to claim I am not voting for the republican bill or can I just not vote?

Also, does voting for the Dem bill help me with my constituants?

CR is looking over our bill now to let me know if "the courts" are likely to let it stand. So I'll be able to submit it on the main thread in just a few minutes.

Since your district is heavily democratic and our bill is putting forth the most dem role possible, yes voting yes for our bill will def help you locally.

not sure on the no vote vs not voting at all...

I'd say abstaining or voting 'no' would be good.

cool, this may be a good way to test the limits. I wouldn't push it (give him a new bill every 5 mins changing it by 1%) but I def think having the "courts" look a bill over before submitting for vote is a good idea.

so I'm guessing it's myself vs St Cronin for speaker.

As the more centrist of the two I will be going after the repubs centrists to try and get them to switch onto me.

Let them put a lot of votes on the board before making the hard sell on RendeR and jeheinz. Strategically, you want to make it impossible for the GOP to move votes onto one of those two guys to combat your efforts.

well I already made an appeal

If st cronin is leaving then it's not really going to matter.

Plus, as the 2nd most centrist Dem there's only one more centrist republican they can nominate and if they do, he can't run for Prez I don't think.

I would hold off on annoucing PF as our presidential nominee publically for chesapeake's reasons tho.

- Convert a wolf to regular player/double agent
- what was the spawn role where you got 2 votes if someone else (wolf?) voted for you?
- Impervious
- Brothers
- Extend term limits or president
- reelection save (being able to change the outcome of an election

National Health Care is needed. Someone who has a chance to heal a person who has been attacked by one of those most evil wolves.

Or...

An investigator who has a chance of deciphering the clues left behind the scene of an attack to tell who the guilty party is.

I would imagine that the Speaker vote is going to end up tied. I would be surprised if someone voted the opposite party at this stage.

As far as future bills, the investigator sounds really interesting.

at the risk of sounding arrogant this sound alot like me. I am basicly couped up in a hotel room doing nothing.

I am hesitant to take roles like this early in games like this for stated reasons.

Is the only thing you communicate with other liasons about is prospective bills?

If so and you guys are ok with me possibly missing something or having to ask lots of questions then I'll throw my hat in the ring.

I am going to the Mariners-Sox game tonight so I won't be around from about 8:00 on EST.

If you guys have reservation that is cool, I will have no hard feelings

I feel that Lathum would be a good liaison. I think you can pretty much discuss anything, but bills and such are important to discuss to convince them to convince their party to agree with us

I think the liasons can talk about anything. I would like for you to post everything you say to him and hear from him into this thread so we're aware of what's going on, but I'd be fine with you doing that if you think you'd be okay with the crazy rule-set.

The Party Liaison

Each party will have a Party Liaison. The responsibility of this role is to act as the go-between with the other party for when PM communication is needed between the parties, or when bill deals need to be arranged.

The Liaison cannot be the Leader, although should something befall the Liaison within the game), the Leader will take over the role on a temporary basis. As with the Leader, the Liaison may be removed at any point in the game by the Leader and announced by the Leader, and a replacement selected by the party. This role is chosen again every new term, in whatever manner the party sees fit.

The Liaisons will have PM rights with each other. All Liaison PMs must include me, the moderator, and oliegirl (backup moderator). If I find that PM communication between the Liaisons is intentionally done to not include me and oliegirl, those Liaisons will be permanently removed from those roles, and possibly subject to further punishment.

The PM rights are so the Liaisons may carry out their jobs as communicators with the other parties. Otherwise, no "good" faction members will have PM rights with any other members. Wolves, of course, will have PM abilities (detailed later).

Basically our private go-between.

As I'm the most centrist, I think we need to play up that fact to try and get one of the GOP centrist people to switch to me otherwise, yes I think it will be a tie down party lines.
