Because he doesn't annoy me to no end, and because he was the first to post it in this thread. Arlie posted the bug fixes already.

Yes, of course, it is because of your race, not your behavior, that you annoy me. Classic.

Gah. I've been sucked in. Now in 2017 with my Oklahoma State Cowboys, and just cannot get over the hump. Of course it doesn't help that I have OU siphoning off 2/3 of the best in-state players.

Still, I had one of my running backs win the Heisman, and I've played in one national championship game.

It looks like the patch has really helped out with injuries as well. I was able to play most of my starters all season last year. Just wish I had better starters on defense. Grr.

So if I'm in the middle of an endless home and home will this patch stop it in my current dynasty or only in future games?

I graduated from Texas but have chosen Air Force for all my games because that's my team in the FOFC league. Also because I prefer to start out with more of a challenge to get better at the game.

The main change will be in the overall length players are out and the high frequency it seemed to happen to QBs and RBs. You will still see a similar number of injuries, just not as many long term ones.

Interesting, I was getting a lot more injuries involving my O-line, FB and safeties. Thanks again Arlie for making a very fun game.

The new patch should be enough to get me into the game. I'm going to start a new career (since I had only played one game in my original career). Since my real-life alma mater doesn't have a football team, I don't really know which school to select in the game. I guess I'll pick Tulane since it is the closest school to my alma mater geographically. That's also the school I'm going to coach.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a quick way to evaluate my team at the start of a game? Is there any particular HTML report I should print out which would let me decide which players I want to start at each position? This is the hardest part of getting into a football game for me. It takes so long for me to learn my personnel.

i don't consider myself an expert at all, but i just looked at a combination of their current/potential and their year. that sorta gave me an overview of them, although i'm sure i could (and will) go much more in depth.

sweet. My BC Eagles just beat the #1 ranked Miami Hurricanes 38-21. It didn't give me quite the poll-bump I thought it would, but with the #4 ranked offense I think I'll be just fine in the long run.

Early playing with the new patch looks really solid for me. I really wish that I got an e-mail when a player was completely healed though.

i think i just got a bug. end of regulation, time expired and yet i was still able to kick a FG to go ahead 30-27 (with no time left on the clock) and yet the game still went to OT.

Boston College ball, Q4, 1-10-CLEM26 (00:00) 27-27 Offense: Medium Pass, Set: SingleBack, Play: SB-FL-in-SE-post Defense: Stop Run, Set: 5-2, Play: 52-run-Man-B6,11 QB Bob Anderson sees WR Morten Hart running the post with a step on the defender. He arcs the ball, and the SE makes a great over-the-shoulder catch. FS Nathan Fuller is a missile and explodes into the receiver but he holds onto the ball. Great concentration.BC: Gain of 8 on the play. Boston College ball, OT, 1-10-CLEM25 (-) 27-27 John Matthews will attempt the 43 yard field goal. The snap is good, here's the kick it's in there. Clemson ball, OT, 1-10-BC25 (-) 27-30 Offense: Medium Pass, Set: Quads, Play: Q-SE-up-WR3-out Defense: Normal, Set: Dime, Play: Dime-norm-MZ QB Mel O'Connor sidesteps the defender and fires the ball to WR Ken Muhammad. The pass sails high and behind the receiver. Incomplete.CLEM: No gain on the play.

edit: WHOA. yeah something weird happened there and OT got broken. Clemson kicked a FG and then got the ball back for another possession.

Still an occasional hiccup in the end of game logic. Back to back timeouts by my team.

Quote:
South Carolina ball, Q4, 1-10-SC3 (00:28) 17-18
Offense: Medium Pass, Set: Quads, Play: Q-SE-playact-corner
Defense: Stop Pass, Set: Nickel, Play: Nickel-pass-SZ
QB L. Davis runs outside for 4 yards (FS B. Buchanan).

South Carolina Timeout!

South Carolina Timeout!

South Carolina ball, Q4, 1-6-SC16 (00:14) 17-18
Offense: Medium Pass, Set: Pro Set, Play: PS-TE-playact-SE-in
Defense: Normal, Set: 4-3, Play: 43-norm-MZ
QB A. Mobley throws an incomplete pass to TE K. Foreman.

South Carolina ball, Q4, 2-6-SC16 (00:06) 17-18
Offense: Medium Pass, Set: SingleBack, Play: SB-FL-cross-SE-out
Defense: Normal, Set: Dime, Play: Dime-norm-MZ-B7,8
QB A. Mobley completes a 34 yard in to WR M. Cleeland (CB E. Alston). South Carolina

Timeout!
Back to back timeouts and the game ended on my timeout without another play. Nothing huge, just something I noticed.

My starting QB was injured (bruised spleen) in the first game of my first career. My next two best QBs were about equal so I decided to try to give them both some playing time. Using the suggest button on playing time split them up at 60-40, so I decided to stick with that.

Well, the QBs pretty much alternated every play. One would come in for 1st down and then he'd leave and the other guy would play 2nd down and maybe 3rd. And they did this for the entire game. That kind of killed the 2 QB system experiment for me.

I'm about to ready to start my first serious career. I really like the direction this game is taking. Count me among those using their Alma Mater for the first game. It might not be the most challenging career using USC, but it should be fun

No. It is best to scout recruits ASAP! As in, week 1 for you main targets, and then as many as you have the budget for. Then check them each week and see what kind of information they have given you. As soon as you see "very important" for anything that fits your school make that your pitch. If it is getting late and you have no pitch and you fear you may lose the recruit use logic to make a guess.

If all the teams they are interested in are local, then location is probably it. If the teams are national and are weak in the position then you can probably bet they are looking for some PT.
