Unfortunately for Cleveland, the new Browns uniforms will still be worn by the same old Browns players.

That is a mock up and in no way a confirmed change. Also, it is terrible.

I'm shocked that Microsoft didn't do all that well when Steve Ballmer was in charge .

I just think every new NBA logo looks like a generic create-a-team from a video game now. I remember feeling this way about Oklahoma City, and now I'm just used to it like "yeah, that's their thing."

That will probably end up happening with this logo, but I kinda miss when some teams had logos that were aggressively cheesy and dated. Every team's logo is converging towards some soccer-style badge looking thing.

All the better to shrink it to the upper corner so they can put advertising in the main space of the jersey. *bleah*

I know it's just probably an illusion thing, but the last PERS of the Clippers logo look way bigger than the CLIP part. Also, if you're going to go to the effort of centering the ball in the center of the logo and also adding centering lines inside the ball, shouldn't the CLIPPERS part center between the 2 P's instead of on the 5th letter?

It's the 'I'. If they centered it between the 2 P's, it would look really out of balance.

That's the kind of problem that Courier New was born to solve!

Only remembered about this when I saw the Tokyo 2020 thread bumped.

I can see what they were trying to do, especially with the variation on the Paralympics logo, but it is completely uninspiring to me.

That didn't take long. Olympics logo is very similar to one for Theatre de Liege in Belgium.

From the LA Times:

Quote:
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games are logo-less once again.

A month after unveiling a design that incorporated the letter T and a red circle like the one from the Japanese flag, Tokyo Olympic organizers have decided to drop the image amid accusations of plagiarism.

It's not like Google hasn't changed their logo before. This is, what, their 7th iteration of the logo? And look how many folks are talking about it.

Designs themselves are really solid. My only complaints would be 1) the grey doesn't look good with the purple (though I think they're going for something more like silver) and 2) the features of the crown look a bit strange on the crown-only logo (though that design harks back to the '71 Cincinnati Royals, which is a big plus in my book).

I'm not sure I like the soccer uniform in the NBA but I like this one for some reason.

It doesn't seem to be that intrusive and one can still easily see the score while adding more info... I like it!

I think the new Premier League changes are more controversial... oh, I don't think we discussed it here.
