I didn't realize I set the LCS to best-of-nine games too. But I guess I did. Now we know, if people would prefer a best-of-seven next year, we can vote on it.

NLCS Game 5
San Diego 4, Phoenix 3 (San Diego wins series 5-0)

ALCS Game 5
Milwaukee , New York 5 (Milwaukee leads series 3-2)

There have been a shortage of homers in these series. I don't think I've seen one yet in any of the games.

ALCS Game 6
Milwaukee 3, New York 1 (Milwaukee leads series 4-2)

1838 Sunset Series

Game 1: Milwaukee 7 San Diego 6
Both teams had explosions in the 8th inning, as Milwaukee tacked on 2 runs to pad their lead, but before the Fathers scored 5. But it wasn't quite enough to close the gap and the Blue Ribbons go up 1-0 in the Series.

1838 SUNSET SERIES GAME 4
San Diego 4, Milwaukee 3

Father tacked on the game-winning run in the top of the 9th on a pinch hit single by Steve McIntyre, bringing home Lawrence Francis to tie the series at 2-2.

SUNSET SERIES GAME 6

SUNSET SERIES GAME 7
Milwaukee 7, San Diego 2
Milwaukee gets a huge early jump, scoring five runs in the first two innings, creating a hole that the Fathers never were able to get out of and as such, clinching the first Sunset Series title for the franchise.

What a heck of a 1st playoffs. Teams were generally evenly matched and lots of drama throughout. Would've been interesting to see if the back and forth between these two could've gone on, so I'm sorry that wasn't setup. But...there's always next year. I doubt either of these teams is going anywhere!

So...apparently the Sunset Series was set for seven games, not nine. I've fixed this, but it won't go into affect until next year.

HELL YEAH! First in the record book for Championship!

Congrats to all the other teams! Especially so for the other playoff squads. You never know what you're getting in an inaugural season of any league. I felt like I built a solid young team as a foundation to work from and a championship is definitely a good way to start the building.... for the trophy case.

FWIW i do prefer a format of 7 game series for the LCS and a 9 game series for the Sunset Series.

Yeah, we'll flip it back to 7-9 next season. It was a great season and our top teams were really well put together I thought and without the 'power' players, it took some effort. Next year should be interesting, but heck of a job this year by everyone gang.
